My now "ex" wife bought me one of these as a stocking stuffer back in 2012. Now I have two 450 3d helis, a 500x 3D heli, 600 pro dfc 3D heli, 700 dfc 3D heli and about 5K wrapped up in quad copters. I can say, this is the one that got me hooked.

Packaging is great, Copter looks nice, feels a little fragile. You have to put 4 AA batteries in the controller, then you have to plug the cord from the controller INTO the helicopter and let it charge for about 2 hours. The plug is very small and you have to wedge it in, it feels like it may break the toy. All that effort and the flight time on a full charge is only 10 minutes. All in all, it controls well, it was a little advanced for my kids, I'd recommend age 10-12 at least. A few crashes and it likely won't last long.

My son loved this helicopter. Was easy for him to control. Due note. Not for outdoor use. Lost it within a week. Was on a windy day and just got out of control or range. Oops.

My kids love remote control toys and I'm a big kid at heart too. Found this on sale and took a chance. It is harder to fly than a drone. I figured it would be since it is only the main rotor doing the work rather than four (or more) on the corners. I like the fact that the remote charges the helicopter. It syncs to the remote quickly every time. With a full charge it launches and is sensitive to control. As the battery drains, however, it becomes much more manageable. Although the rotors are spinning at a high rate of speed, they do collapse on impact and haven't done any harm to walls or people they have come into contact with. I know it is small but I look forward to taking it outside on a calm day. A decent breeze and forget it!

Worked well until my grandson flew it into the side of the house, don’t fly them into the side of a house and you should be fine,i don’t know how long they last, this happened pretty quick

This is a good toy for those interested in avionics or radio-controlled vehicles, and increasing hand-eye coordination. This was purchased to replace an R/C helicopter from a different manufacturer that had broken. We did not realize at the time of purchase, however, that this one could best be used inside (direct sunlight interferes with the radio signal, apparently); could only be charged from the remote; and only works reliably for a few minutes after charging. There is absolutely room for improvement, but the kid has fun playing with it for now.

So much fun, easy to fly. Might purchase another one.

Make sure to follow the instructions unlike me and my kids! We took it outside after some indoor test flights and lost control of it from a mere 5 feet away, it flew way off out of sight into oblivion and has never been seen again.

Easy to use and great starter for child. Sturdy- holds up to multiple crash landings and ceiling strikes. Short battery life

build well , easy to control but not too precise , battery life wish to be better, fan to play with, play only indoor.

The quality is fine, but the helicopter charge with the remote control, and the remote need 4 AA batteries

I have gifted this product to my nephew and he was very happy after getting this. It's Easy to fly. Good for Indoor fly only. I have not tried it outside yet. Needs some practice to fly it accurately. Dnt allow your kids under the specified age to fly the same as the bladed are bit sharp and may injure the kid. Overall its a nice tough and durable item. Does not break immediately as I was expecting. Try to use in-house with a carpeted floor and it will last for ever...

Very fun product. The short battery life is a drawback however. Only can fly for about 5 or 6 minutes. Doesn’t take long to charge back up but it recommends not to charge right after use. Fun to fly. My niece and nephew loved it. It’s rather difficult to fly however and not necessarily a kids toy. Very durable though. Crashed many times and it’s still holding together. Overall good product for the price.

My boy is very happy with it. His best friend bought one when he saw it

It says it lasts for about 6 minutes when you read the manual. It doesnt it barely lasts 3. On top of that you have to charge it for 60 minutes. Barely get to play with it and then you have to set it down to charge for another hour. Works just fine but the battery life is a joke.

Another Christmas present for my nieces. I bought this to help them understand the concept of flying so the more expensive drone will last longer. The girls had a blast playing with it, and I might add that some of the older adults enjoyed it quite a bit as well. Fun toy!

Operates pretty well. Our 5 year old figured it out and was able to control it and even land on an elevated platform. Charging it from the controller ensures you aren’t going to lose the charger. Definitely invest in rechargeable batteries for the remote.
