About This Item

Double vinyl LP pressing. Known for their explorative and restless sound, taking influence from old style rock like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young and Pink Floyd as well as from electronica and hip hop, each of Radiohead's albums marks a cornerstone in their musical evolution. Debut Pablo Honey (1993) was their answer to grunge while follow-up albums The Bends (1995) and OK Computer (1997) offered atmospheric, almost avant-garde tones. With the near impossible task of following up their critically acclaimed masterpiece OK Computer, Radiohead took another bold leap at the turn of the millennium with Kid A, an experimental album built largely around the union of electronica and mood. Musically, Kid A is as accomplished as anything Radiohead has ever produced and it's overflowing with eye-opening musical mosaics which are absolutely stunning in their insight and beauty. Kid A initially proved to be controversial as critics labeled the mixture of electronic beats, jazz horns and strings as InchdifficultInch but tracks like the soaring InchOptimisticInch kept fans loyal and saw Radiohead crowned as masters of composition. A left-field hit, Kid A was eventually nominated for a Grammy for Album of the Year and won for Best Alternative Album. Album Tracks 1. Everything in It's Right Place 2. Kid a 3. The National Anthem 4. How to Disappear Completely 5. Treefingers 6. Optimistic 7. In Limbo 8. Idioteque 9. Morning Bell 10. Motion Picture Soundtrack 11. Untitled

The Promise Ring - Nothing Feels Good - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP pressing. On their 1997 The Promise Ring made emo more accessible, which laid the groundwork for the commercially successful acts that would follow. The band showed it doesn't always have to be such a pity party, and that catharsis can come in many forms, particularly in the naively optimistic power-pop of Nothing Feels Good. The pioneering band walked the line between brusque sentimentality and uplifting hooks, making them emo's first pop emissaries. Cheap Trick for hardcore kids. If Fountains of Wayne, Sebadoh, and Jonathan Richman had an emo love-child, Nothing Feels Good might be it's name. The record was a high point for many fans of the band, and is considered one of the pillars of the genre. Perhaps because of this light-hearted yet concentrated approach, Nothing Feels Good landed with the kind of fanfare that hadn't been seen for a band from emo's sophomore class, selling over 50,000 records in it's initial run. Considering a good run for some of their peers was around 10,000 to 15,000 albums, Nothing Feels Good was veritable emo-platinum. Album Tracks 1. Is This Thing On? 2. Perfect Lines 3. Red & Blue Jeans 4. Why Did Ever We Meet 5. Make Me a Chevy 6. How Nothing Feels 1. A Broken Tenor 2. Rasberry Rush 3. Nothing Feels Good 4. Pink Chimneys 5. B Is for Bethlehem 6. Forget Me
