Raffaella Carra - Ballo Ballo - Transparent Yellow Vinyl - VINYL LP

Bill Fay has always sung about attempting to understand the most universal questions those of nature, spirituality, humanity. His songs are Inchcalming hymns for another chaotic timeInch, he says. His influence can be traced through many artist's work, and so it only seemed right to celebrate this with a collection ofnewer voices interpreting his timeless tracks. Originally released in 2010 by David Tibet (Current 93), Still Some Light was released as a double CD, made up of 70's album demos (Disc One) and 2009 home recordings (Disc Two). This year, for the first time, this collection of recordings will be pressed to vinyl and released digitally, presented alongside contemporary reimaginings of the tracks by Kevin Morby, Steve Gunn, Julia Jacklin and Mary Lattimore. Bill Fay's words and melodies remain unaffected by the passing of time and changing trends; and here alongside the original recordings, these reinvented versions still calmly guide us through another moment of chaos. Marketing Sticker Text Bill Fay's Still Some Light was originally released on compact disc as a two CD collection in 2010. Reimagined with new artwork and available for the first time ever on vinyl, Dead Oceans is pleased to present Still Some Light Pt. 1, collecting Fay's archival recordings from 1970 and 1971. This double LP set includes heart wrenching versions of some of his timeless works, such as InchI Hear You CallingInch and InchPictures of Adolf AgainInch, and features equally powerful songs like InchArnold is a Simple ManInch and InchLove is the Tune,Inch which only appear in this collection.

2024 . After two decades, it would be all too easy for a band to just phone it in-capitalize on the fanbase they've built up in that time and just make a watered-down version of themselves. Not for The Early November, however. Ever since forming in New Jersey in 2001, the band, now consisting of frontman Ace Enders and founding drummer Jeff Kummer- have constantly been striving to find the best and most definitive version of themselves. With this self-titled record, the seventh studio album of their career, the duo have come as close as is possible to doing so. It's an album that ties the past, present and future all together, and as such, it marks what Enders calls a Inchperiod or exclamation point in our sentenceInch. It's not a new beginning, per se, but nevertheless something emphatic that signifies, in Enders' words again, Incha pivotal momentInch for them both.
