Vinyl LP pressing. The universe feels real on The Turnpike Troubadours because the band resolved to let the album happen on it's own time. Moving out to the Prairie Sun recording complex in the desert country of Cotati, California, setting up in former chicken coops converted into studios, they metaphorically unplugged the clock and worked studiously through 12-hour sessions, wrapping up only when each story and every note rang true. There's Inch7 OaksInch, recounting a life made desperate by poverty, made more vivid by an incongruous hoedown accompaniment. InchBossier City,Inch focused on a sad mill worker who blows his pay regularly on gambling and booze. Album Tracks 1. The Bird Hunters 2. The Mercury 3. Down Here 4. Time of Day 5. Sonny Landreth's new album InchBlacktop RunInch mixes genres and styles across a landscape of lyricism and rootsy grooves. His 3rd album for blues connaisseur tag Provogue, and his 14th overall, will be released on February 21, 2020. A percussive burst of acoustic resonator guitar pushes the narrator on a journey Inchbetween the life I left and the edge of nextInch in the title cut of guitarist, songwriter and bandleader Sonny Landreth's 14th album. As the singer feels the wind at his back, a rising bass line intersects Landreth's vocalizing to stretch the fingerpicked tune into Far Eastern melodicism. The south Louisiana artist's groundbreaking work has long mixed familiarity with experimentation, and his latest ten-song collection stretches from hard-edged electric instrumentals to wistful acoustic ballads. The project's range is the fruit of a renewed collaboration. Producer RS Field - who helmed Landreth's trio of breakout albums - joined the six-stringer and co-producer Tony Daigle to finish the record. Album Tracks 1. Blacktop Run 2. Lover Dance with Me 3. Mule 4. Groovy Goddess 5. Somebody Gotta Make a Move 1. Beyond Borders 2. Don't Ask Me 3. The Wilds of Wonder 4. Many Worlds 5. Something Grand
