As early as the 11th century Arab historian praised the Ash-Shaqundi Seville not only because of the magnificent gardens and parks, but also explicitly for the excellent music. Later, in the 16th century, the golden age of Spain, she was still a thriving city and a thriving center of art and culture. In this environment had Alonso Mudarra (ca.1510-1580) most of his life as a canon at the cathedral of Seville. 1546 he published there his Tres Libros de Música. a collection of pieces and songs for and with Vihuela. They are a particularly fine example of the many different literary forms and musical currents that were in Sevilla found in the mid-16th century. Private Musicke spreads along with the Spanish soprano Racquel Andueza of the fascinating diversity of songs and Vihuelastücke Mudarras, ranging from simple, catchy song held to elaborate polyphony. Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album. It was released on August 31, 1987, nearly five years after Jackson's previous studio album, Thriller. Bad was recorded during the first half of 1987.
