Raquel Britton has been singing the praises of the Lord from a very young age. Born into a family with a rich heritage and legacy of singing and preaching the Gospel, Britton recognized her call to serve God'speople in song very early in life. She began singing in church at the tender age of two; leading and singing solos regularly. At twelve years old Raquel was appointed director of the youth choir at The Galilee Baptist Church. Under her leadership, the choir grew to over fifty members. After relocating to Atlanta, GA; Raquel became an intricate part of Changing A Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church's music ministry under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton. She presently serves in Philadelphia, PA at Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop J. Louis Felton where she works diligently in ministry and has also accepted her call to the ministry of the preached word. Britton is also an educator in the School District of Philadelphia, where she serves as a 9th Grade English teacher at the one and the only, George Washington High School. In every capacity that Raquel holds, her main goal is to be used by God in whatever form He desires to share His love and bring souls closer to Him. Britton's incredible voice is her special gift, spreading peace and light to all who experience her unique talent. For this holiday season, Raquel has chosen two of the most popular Christmas songs of all time and has joined forces with Charles InchClefInch Lundy, one of Philadelphia's finest musicians and arrangers, to deliver a fresh take on the time-honored standards - with a message of joy and love at the most wonderful time of the year.
