I hate reading directions and this came ready to use. I did have to read to understand some features though. after living with sweating vents and some mold on the windows during the summer, we decided to try a dehumidifier. Problem solved. the air is more pleasant to breathe, everything smells better, no more sweaty windows. Easy to empty. love it, love it, love it, if it had a last name I would marry it.

This is a must for my basement, otherwise it starts smelling damp. Over 15 years I have bought 6 or 7 different models, unfortunately they don't seem to last more than a few years. They tend to freeze up or surge out when power is restored after a storm outage. So this model is doing very well after a year. I purchased the Best Buy warranty on the previous and they exchanged with no issues. Strongly recommend buying the extended warranty since the life span of these devices is questionable; if I get 3 years out of one I'm happy. You'll know its not working when all it does is blow out warm air in the summer. Power cord is a bit short so check distance from outlet before you buy. Also check distance to your sump pump if you want to connect drainage hose which works very well and eliminates the need to manually empty the bucket.

This dehumidifier has been running 24/7 for over a month in an unfinished crawl space (approx 1,100 sf) where humidity has been a problem. The temperature has averaged only about 50F but the humidity is now under control. It's too soon to comment on reliability, but I'm not too worried about it as I purchased the extended warranty. The only "negative" is the bucket, which is a bit awkward to handle, but with a hose hooked up and draining into a sump the bucket isn't being used any more.

Notice some moisture after my previous demumitifier broke, it was so easy to unpack and get started. And, it works great sucking the moisture out of the air. It is also quite.

My finished basement is big. This is an additional dehumidifier on top of the original 70-pint dehumidifier. It is very quiet. The feature of controlling the humidity with a digital display is very nice. The only drawback is a small water tank if you don't use a draining hose.

It does what it says! Drags water from the air quickly. Easy to slide the tray in and out to empty.

Easy to install and seems to be working very effectively to dry out my very damp and large basement. I was quickly able to get it set up and running, including attaching a hose that allows it to drain to a reservoir with a pump. Very pleased with this purchase.

I wish I had invested in this product long ago. I was purchasing other temporary moisture absorbing products. Not only were they temporary but expensive as well.

Purchased this for an elderly customer who did not want to have to empty it but have it drain. Works great in his basement. No complaints.

I have a 1500 sq ft basement. This unit is simple and effective. I would recommend using the hose to drain method with this unit.

This dehumidifier works great. Drain directly into the sump pump, so I don't have to worry about emptying it. Runs quiet too.

This dehumidifier works great!!! Pulls a lot of water out of the air in my basement. Empty it twice a day. Going to hook up hose kit to drain at some point. Despite the specs online it does have an Energy Star rating.

I bought this because it was one of the cheaper options out there. It has all the basic features that i need and works well.
