Most of these recordings are intended for cross-over marketing. They seem to feature R&B type rhythm (or rockabilly), vocal group backing, and a tenor sax break or guitar break. The feel is decidedly reminiscent of King/Federal, for whom Robert Scherman produced many successful sessions.
