The Raster is a 1600 ms digital delay with a pitch and frequency shifter integrated into the feedback path. Forward or reverse delay can be shifted once or have continuously shifted repeats. Three delay ranges allow you to precisely dial in resonant feedback and instantly change delay time with rhythmic shifts. The feedback control has infinite repeats at 3 o'clock and chaotic, textured feedback loops at higher levels. Knob responses are carefully tuned for exploration of self-oscillation and feedback on the verge of blowing up. A tone control sweeps from dark analog-style repeats to digital clarity and emphasizes the attack at higher settings. The left and right delay times can be set as a ratio, so a single knob changes both in sync. The two delay channels can be arranged in series, parallel or ping pong. Three pitch and frequency shifting algorithms are integrated into the feedback loop. Pitch shifting repeats up or down in semitone steps creates tempo-synced arpeggios and alien organ sounds. The detune setting can dial in micro pitch shifts and chorused repeats. The frequency shifter creates flanger-like textures and radical dissonant echoes. The left and right channels can be shifted by the same amount, a ratio, or opposite directions. At subtle settings, repeats evolve in a way that sounds natural, but different from analog delays. The Raster's modulation section has seven waveforms that can be assigned to delay time, pitch shift, or effect level (for tremolo). There are two random waveforms for glitchy sliced delays or random pitch shift, wow and flutter, and broken tape deck effects. Envelope and inverse envelope enable dynamic flanging and pitch bent delays. Stereo controls adjust the modulation amount and phase between channels, for subtle shifts or swirling psychedelic washes. The Raster 2 is performance friendly, with 6 knobs and 9 switches. The original Raster was praised for its knob response and immediacy, and the Raster 2 maintains that simplicity while adding flexible modulation and extensive stereo functionality. Alternate knob settings are related to the primary knob function, labeled, and off at the center position. Both footswitches can be latching or momentary, for instant pitch jumps or quick blasts of echo. The bypass switch can also mute the output in bypass while always listening, to catch, repeat, and manipulate what you just played. The Raster is designed and assembled in Plymouth, MI, USA.

Electro-Harmonix MEL9 Tape Replay Machine. Transform your axe and resurrect the sound of vintage tape-based keyboards! Now any electric guitar player can have access to nine magically quirky, dark and unique Mellotron sounds. No more extra devices such as special and cumbersome 13-pin MIDI pickups! In addition to electric guitar, you can trigger the MEL9 with any instrument that produces an electrical output, such as a keyboard or a bass, down to 55 Hz or A1. The polyphonic EHX MEL9 has superior tracking; you can create single notes or chords with ease. The MEL9 will follow guitar bends, dive bombs, slurs, and any other guitar expression/performance techniques you can throw at it! Product Highlights: Pays homage to nine of the coolest Mellotron sounds: Orchestra, Cello, Strings, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Brass, Low Choir and High Choir. Works on guitar without modifications, special pickups or MIDI implementation and tracks bends, slides, even whammy dive bombs! Also works with bass guitar down to the open A string as well as keyboards within the limits of its polyphony (5 notes) and range (A1 to A5). Includes independent Effect and Dry volume controls so you can create the perfect mix at the Effects output. Dry Output jack outputs your input signal at unity gain. Attack control sets the volume swell speed. As it’s turned clockwise the notes fade in more gradually. Sustain control adjusts the release time after a sound is stopped. As it’s turned clockwise, the fade out time increases. Power adapter included. Product Features: Dry Vol Knob: Controls the volume of the untreated instrument level on the EFFECT OUTPUT jack. Effect Vol Knob: Controls the overall volume of the selected preset at the EFFECT OUTPUT jack. Attack Knob: Sets the volume swell speed, or the speed at which the effect begins to be heard. Sustain Knob: Controls the amount of time a sound continues to play after you stop playing. Preset Knob: Selects a preset sound. Effect Output Jack: Sends the mix set by the DRY and EFFECT volume controls. Dry Output Jack: Outputs the signal present at the input jack. Input Jack: This is the audio input. Bypass Footswitch: Toggle between effect mode and bypass. Product Specifications: Circuit: Digital. Bypass: Buffered Bypass. Audio: Mono. Power Supply: 9.6VDC-200mA power adapter included. Dimensions (in): 4.75 x 4 x 2.25. Current Draw: 100mA. Year Released: 2016. UPC: 683274011837.
