Customer Ratings & Reviews

The size and thickness of the Paper Pure notebook is perfect. Not too big to carry around while taking notes for my audits at work and not too small so I’m not turning pages or scrolling down frequently. Battery life is GREAT! Moderate use (2-4 hours a day) is about 2 weeks of battery life maybe more because I’ve never had it go below 30% charge before charging again after two weeks. I would like to see it come with a remarkable made folio instead of the sleeve. I would like the protection of a folio case instead of having to slide in/out the tablet from the sleeve. The sleeve has a very nice build quality to it.

I've wanted a reMarkable for ages, and am not disappointed at all! I use it both for work and for personal projects, and am able to easily sort and organize my handwritten notes. I can import a PDF to take notes directly, and I can send myself my documents by email or by connecting to my Dropbox or other cloud storage. I literally have used this every day since I got it a month ago. Also, the battery lasts a very long time - it's been almost two weeks since I plugged it in, and it's still at 45% power right now.

Bought it for my daughter who loves writing, she is fascinated with it!

## Design You can think of the reMarkable Paper Pure as a digital notepad. It has a crisp, e-ink touchscreen that is great for reading, plus you can also markup and highlight text with the included stylus (what they refer to as a "marker"). The matte display has a paper "feel" to it, so writing feels natural when using the stylus. Not only does the display feel like paper, but it also looks like paper as well. The background is white, and the dark e-ink display contrasts nicely against it. Unfortunately, there is no backlight in the Paper Pure, so you will only be able to use it in a well-lit area. The frame of the device is plastic and while it is lightweight, it does feel a little flimsy. However, the bundle version of this tablet includes a semi-rigid carrying case, and there are other 3rd party protective case options available as well. The stylus attaches magnetically to the right side of the Paper Pure for storage and charging. The bundle version of this tablet includes Remarkable's Marker *Plus* which includes an eraser function on one end which saves you from having to manually turn on the erasing function in the software with the regular Marker. The bundle also includes a Sleeve Folio for the Paper Pure. ## Performance The OS and display are responsive and documents and notebooks open quickly so you can get to work. There is some ghosting when scrolling and pinching and zooming, but if you wait a beat the screen typically refreshes to clear any abnormalities. When creating new notebooks on the device, you can choose from a blank page or use a handful of templates as a background, such as lined notebook paper, week planners, and sheet music. Writing on the device feels natural and, as I mentioned, the glass display has a matte finish that provides a paper-like feel as you write. The Paper Pure can also convert handwriting to text and I found it to be quite accurate with my own writings. I sometimes need to read lengthy manuals and technical documentation in the PDF format which I typically do on an iPad, but sometimes (especially after long reading sessions) my eyes prefer an e-ink display. Transferring PDFs to a Kindle typically messes up the formatting, so I've been looking for a larger e-ink solution for PDF reading. The reMarkable Paper Pure does a fair job with PDFs as you can import PDFs in their original format. The resolution of the display is typically enough for most PDF documents, but text-dense documents or documents with a small font may require zooming or using the tablet in landscape mode. You can transfer documents back and forth from the tablet my using reMarkable's website, but some features require a subscription. ## Which features are free and which require a Connect subscription? Free features include: - Reading web articles and eBooks - Transferring/syncing files updated within the past 50 days - Handwriting conversion to typed text - Annotating PDFs - Using the browser extension on your laptop to send PDFs and articles to reMarkable - Retrieving documents from Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive The Connect subscription adds these features: - Unlimited cloud storage and syncing (no 50-day limit) - Viewing and editing your work in the mobile and desktop apps (without the tablet) - Handwriting search - Exclusive templates ## Battery Life The Paper Pure can last about 3 weeks on a single charge, and it recharges with a standard USB-C cable. ## Summary The reMarkable Paper Pure is a digital notepad with a crisp e-ink touchscreen and a stylus for writing and highlighting. It offers a paper-like feel and can convert handwriting to text, but lacks a backlight and the plastic case feels somewhat flimsy. The device includes free features like reading, handwriting conversion, and PDF annotation, with a Connect subscription adding more cloud storage, handwriting search, and templates.

Really neat notetaking tablet for those who prefer paper and pen. This is my first experience with a “paper” tablet and it honestly took some realigning of my expectations. The reMarkable Paper Pure Tablet has a lot less features than a regular one that runs on Android, iOS, or Windows, but it wasn’t designed for that either. It was built for aiding your workflow and if you’re a person who prefers the freedom and sketchability of a pen or pencil, then you’re in luck! The whole kit comes with a fabric hard shell case, 6 replaceable pen tips, pen, and USB-C charging cable. The pen magnetically docks to the side of the tablet, which is how it charges as well. The tablet charges through a USB-C port and features an amazing 3 weeks of battery life, so unless you’re really careless it’s ready when you need it! But you can be a little clumsy, because the body and screen are made with rugged plastic that’s prepared for day-to-day abuse. And let me tell you, this thing takes drops like a champ! And I appreciate that. The pen feels great in the hand too, with a nice weight and solid grip. It took me a while to realize the “eraser” end of the pen actually works like an eraser on the tablet screen, but I’m sure it was mentioned in the tutorial that I mostly skimmed through. Most of the features are pretty intuitive though and I’m impressed with how well it can read and convert handwriting to typed text. Usage wise, the screen responds quickly and accurately to touches. It feels a little slow on the refresh rate, but this tablet isn’t for playing videos or games, so it’s not a big deal. Everything you create can be tagged by keyword for easy searching later and you can import documents to the tablet by synching with Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.. However, you can only export your files through email unless you pay for the Connect subscription, which I did not do. It does come with a free 50 day trial though, and at just $39.90 for the year it’s probably worth springing for. The Google and Microsoft integrations should make importing and exporting a breeze. And it gains extra abilities like being able to search your notes, unlimited cloud storage, and adding docs directly to your Google or Outlook calendar. There’s actually one more free method to share your docs and that’s through “Screen Share”, which connects through your web browser and acts like a mirror display for the tablet. But even better, because while the tablet screen is black and white the Screen Share output is in color. It was a nice surprise to see, but it’s still weird highlighting notes directly on the tablet, because every highlighter looks like a variation of gray on a black and white screen. I do wish the screen were a little brighter, but I can stare at it all day without getting eye fatigue, so maybe that’s a good thing. Overall, I can’t say that it feels like writing on actual paper, but it’s a great form of “digital paper”. It’s a fantastic alternative for sketching, taking notes, and marking up documents on the fly. A co-worker can send me an ad layout while I’m in the field and I can quickly import it, mark it up and send it back within minutes. I also love that it works in layers so it’s easy to edit through notes and design variations. This kind of tablet isn’t for everyone, but if your workflow requires a lot of marking things up or even if you simply prefer working with a “pen and paper”, I think you’ll love what the reMarkable Paper Pure tablet can do. PROS - Super long battery life (supposedly 3 weeks) - Good at reading/converting handwriting - Background templates are handy - Like that it works in layers - Feels durable - Handy for taking handwriting notes and sketching drawings - Keeps notes organized well - Can import files from Google Drive, Dropbox, and other apps - Can email sketches and notes to self for free - Screenshare works well and in color - Pen works well, feels solid - Screen is easy on the eyes CONS - Need subscription to get best use out of it - Wish it were brighter - No color - Highlighting color is essentially only light gray - Needs to pull out of case to use, can’t just flip case open - Can’t charge in case - Doesn’t feel like writing on paper as claimed

The new reMarkable Paper Pure 10.3 Bundle is a great option for note takers, play makers and artists who would like to simplify and streamline their doodling by removing unwanted app distractions, notifications and social media on other tablet devices. I personally opted for it for our kids’ note taking in school but found myself using it more myself for sketching, doodling, writing notes/lists and even for my volunteer sessions with our local football teams. It is super simple to set up and use and less than or as lightweight as other options at less than a pound. This bundle is great because it includes the Marker Plus, with several replacement tips, which can magnetically snap to the side for storage and charging and a protective sleeve folio all for less than what you would expect to pay for a decent tablet with those accessories. The new Paper Pure model features a 10.3-inch monochrome Canvas display built with glare-free and durable Gorilla Glass 3 that is very responsive to the Marker Plus which displays digital ink immediately with a rapid 21 ms response rate. The 1.7 GHz dual core processor delivers speedy pinch-to-zoom capabilities and page turning is noticeably quicker than other readers I have used. It has 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can accommodate thousands of notebooks. The 3,820 mAh battery can last up to three weeks on a single charge. After quickly charging the Paper Pure tablet using the USB-C port and wirelessly syncing with my Google account using the built in Wi-Fi antenna (2.4/5GHz), I was able to link my work to Google Drive and there are also options to sync it with Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox to save and reference your work elsewhere. You can also integrate your work with Google and Outlook calendars, send your work by email from the tablet or mirror the screen on your tablet on a larger screen to become a live white board. Like most other advancements in today’s technology, there is an AI assistance feature to auto-summarize handwriting, convert script to text or search your own handwriting notes. However, some of the more advanced AI features do require a paid subscription. Overall, the new Paper Pure tablet has been the most realistic paper-like writing feel I have experienced; the Marker Plus combined with the non-glass feel screen actually feels like you are writing on paper. It is very responsive to touch and there are plenty of writing / drawing options. It is nice to have a product this capable without having to worry about it running out of power every day. The paper tablet is designed and built specifically for certain usage and may not be for everyone. If you’re looking for more bells and whistles that come with a full-color, backlit tablet that works at night or prefer one that is compatible with a keyboard attachment, you may want to weigh other options.

The reMarkable is the perfect notepad! I have loved using it. It’s easy to write on and beats having to write on pages. Best of all, I can convert my notes to text! I really appreciate that this comes with a folio case. You can purchase without, but I like the extra peace of mind. I’d like it if the case had a dedicated spot for the pen, but it’s ok because it magnetized to the side of the pad. I consider myself a very organized person. So I like that I can create tags and folders to keep my documents together where I see fit. I can see this being a fantastic tool for those in marketing and education. It’ll surely impress clients and coworkers. Something I’m not happy about is there’s not some sort of ability to backup your files. Hopefully a future update can address this. It’s app connected, so hopefully files can be stored in the app. I’m still diving deep into the templates. Love that I can easily select something based on my needs. The screen helps my eyes. I stare at a computer all day, so it’s super nice having the type of reflective screen it offers. Pros: Size Durability Screen clarity Magnetic pen Easy to use Convert notes to text Upload pdfs and other docs Battery life Folio case is fantastic Cons: Optional subscription for enhanced features Backup capabilities Overall: This is a must for a professional. It’s eye catching, practical and super helpful. I highly recommend this!!

As a low-distraction paper replacement, the Paper Pure excels at simplicity. It’s responsive and creates a nice writing/ doodling setup for a price. The user interface is simple, but well laid out and intuitive enough - and if you’re often under a pile of handwritten notes or papers, it may be better for you than a full-on tablet. __ Functionality __ As mentioned above, this is a writing and pencil-doodling device and isn’t really meant to do anything else, with the exception of marking up PDF documents with signatures or annotations. You could read a PDF book on this, but you won’t find an ebook store or access to existing ones you may currently use. This is for jotting handwritten notes and it delivers one of the best ‘pencil on paper’ e-ink experiences I’ve had. There’s no backlight on this model, but in going without one, ReMarkable was able to bring the display up and eliminate almost any distance gap you might get on other models. The result is a very close relationship between the ‘marker’ tip and the screen. A respectable refresh rate makes it feel natural, without a trailing delay. The only real downside is that without a backlight, you lose one differentiator for where digital markup could stand out from physical paper - being able to take notes in dark environments. For me, it’s not a big deal. Design wise, it's thoughtfully designed with a thin chassis made of durable grey plastic. This choice creates a very light device that’s easy to hold, despite its size. Since it’s not an anodized color, I don’t feel the urge to baby it as I might with a tablet made of aluminum and glass. I tend not to drop my devices, but it feels fairly secure in the hand. If dropped, I imagine the plastic corners might mar, so a true folio might make sense for some people who intend to walk around with the device when in use. Unlike real paper, it’s easy to back up or share your documents and store them digitally rather than taking up space in your home or office. __ Included Pen and Case __ This comes with a case in a few different color options. Mine came with a dark navy sleeve of sort. It’s a semi-rigid formed slot to store the device and attached pen. It seems well made, but its symmetrical design had me fiddling to figure out which side opens every time I pick it up. A folio would have been more practical, but this is a nice add-in to protect the device from being squeezed when stored in a backpack. The rough-textured fabric on the outside likes to collect dirt and hair, however, and may ultimately prove somewhat hard to clean. The color choices are also somewhat boring. They remind me of laptop sleeves of the early 2000s that were largely following an aesthetic which can only be described as ‘cubicle-utilitarian,’ before becoming more fashionable. The pen or ‘marker’ included seems well built and durable. It has a heavy rubber texture that I hope will hold up in time. It feels good in the hand and seems to prevent hand moisture from ever affecting how well I can mark with it. Flipping it over allows the eraser to work as expected and it charges while magnetically attached to the side of the device. You additionally benefit from familiar undo shortcuts by tapping your fingers on the screen, etc. __ Screen __ While the screen still has a tinge of greenish-grey throughout, it closely matches the bezel and reflects light very well, making it a great paper replacement. Screen resolution may be slightly less than other options, but it looks very crisp and has great contrast with dark black tones. The Paper Pure also has an asymmetrical layout that provides a helpful grabbing area for your hand. This also means that the UI for selecting tools is always accessible and never under your hand. Pen responsiveness is wonderful and feels direct and natural, as does general touch as you tap around. I also love that ReMarkable provides a range of templates to apply to your paper, including grid-dots, which I love. __ Overall __ While relatively pricy, this e-ink tablet is great as a paper/notebook replacement. For me, it’s a device to avoid distraction and jot fleeting thoughts - a scribble pad of sorts. It doesn’t have an extensive ecosystem to support readers, but any PDF will look great on its crisp screen, including any books you have in that format. The included Marker Plus (digital pencil) has a great feel and writing tip that when paired with the textured screen, feels great to write with. At the end of the day it's a specialized product, but a good one!

reMarkable - Paper Pure 10.3 Paper Tablet Bundle with Marker Plus and Sleeve Folio - Ocean Blue First Impressions & Unboxing: Unboxing experience sets the tone immediately — it’s quiet, intentional, and almost calm. The box is slim and clean, with that matte texture that makes you slow down a bit. When you lift the lid, the Paper Pure is the first thing you see, impossibly thin and feather‑light. It doesn’t feel like tech; it feels like a premium notebook someone engineered out of metal. Sliding it out of the tray, the Ocean Blue sleeve is tucked underneath, soft-touch and surprisingly sturdy. It has that “daily carry” feel — not decorative, but something you trust to protect the device. The Marker Plus sits in its own channel, and picking it up feels like grabbing a real pen. No buttons, no charging, no setup. Just a pen that works. The whole unboxing feels like the opposite of opening a tablet. No cables, no clutter, no accessories you’ll never use. Just the essentials. First‑Hand Daily Usage: What It’s Actually Like: I’ve been using Paper Pure every day, and the best way to describe it is this: it becomes part of your routine without demanding attention. It’s the first device I’ve owned that doesn’t try to “do more.” It just does what it’s supposed to do extremely well. Morning Notes & Planning: Every morning, I open the sleeve, tap the power button, and it’s instantly ready—no apps loading, no notifications, no distractions. I jot down my daily plan, and the writing feels shockingly natural— the nib has just enough resistance to mimic a fine‑point pen on real paper. It’s the first digital device where my handwriting actually looks like my handwriting. Workday Use: During meetings, it keeps up with fast note‑taking. No lag, no weird smoothing, no digital “pen feel.” I can scribble diagrams, underline things, highlight text, and flip pages without breaking flow. Importing PDFs for review is seamless and marking them up feels like working on printed documents. The biggest surprise is how much I rely on it for focus. When I need to brainstorm or think through something complicated, I grab the Paper Pure instead of my laptop. It’s distraction‑free in a way that no other device is. Evening Wind‑Down: At night, I use it to read through documents or sketch ideas. The display is gentle on the eyes — no glare, no harsh backlight — and the battery barely moves. I’ve gone for multiple days without charging. It’s become my “thinking space,” not just a tool. Craftsmanship & Build Quality: * Ultra‑thin magnesium frame feels premium and durable. * Matte display is engineered for writing — no glare, no fingerprints. * Ocean Blue sleeve is soft, structured, and perfect for daily carry. * Marker Plus feels balanced and natural, like a real pen. Everything feels purpose‑built. Nothing feels like an afterthought. Pros & Cons: Pros: * Best‑in‑class writing feel * Zero distractions — ideal for deep work * Lightweight and comfortable for long sessions * Excellent battery life * Premium accessories to enhance the experience * Reliable cloud sync Cons: * Monochrome display limits color markup * Not a traditional tablet — no apps or browser * Accessories increase total cost. * Handwriting conversion is strong but not perfect. Final Take The reMarkable Paper Pure bundle is the closest thing to a digital notebook that actually feels analog. It’s not trying to replace your iPad or laptop — it’s trying to replace your stack of notebooks, and it does that better than anything else I’ve used. If your workflow revolves around writing, planning, sketching, or reading documents, this becomes a daily companion. It’s a device that encourages focus, clarity, and calm — something rare in tech.

Think this is the perfect distraction free tablet, it eliminates two things from having to carry around a notebook and hardcopy books. From the beginning of taking it out of the box, it is very light, an e-pencil included that stores to the tablet on via a magnetic system, and has a hard sleeve for storage when not in use. This mag system is also used to charge the e-pencil. Along with the device, in the box you will have a USB-C charging cable for use with any mobile charger. Setup is quick and also has an initial update to apply once setup. You do need to tie it to an account and there is an additional service you can subscribe to for cloud storage and unlocks additional features. Notebook use. The company did an excellent job in making sure this felt and worked like a notebook. This is very reactive to the e-pencil from every stroke you make during use from writing, cursive writing, drawing, and engineering drawings. It is so precise, that it captures your true writing style. If you have never used anything like this before, it may take some time to get used to and you may need to relearn how to control your pressure when writing if you are a heavy writer to make your e-tips last longer. The pencil feels like a normal pencil when in your hand, reacts like a normal pencil when writing and erasing. There are various sizes to choose from; pen, pencil, marker, highlighter, text selection, and work in layers. You can add layers to it. “The selection is very varied. “Unique in how it works.” It does convert your own writing into text. I did find that because I write like a doctor, it did struggle a little and, in some cases, I found myself editing my own writing to ensure it converted to text correctly. There is an excellent feature for when you are in a rush that allows you to long select the “+” to add a new page instantly without having to dig through notebooks you have created and carrying around to file later. Through the apps, it give you sync capabilities across multiple devices to keep your notes organized. I have found myself removing desk clutter and this has found its way to the desk next to the keyboard for everyday use. eReader. This works as an excellent eReader, using all of the similar features others have to offer. It does allow you to take notes directly on the eBook, highlight, edit, bookmark also. One super helpful feature is the Cloud drive integration options from Google, Apple, Microsoft, and others. An additional feature I actually take daily advantage of is the MS Office Suite integrations for Word and PowerPoint. I can click the “reMarkable” button and it will send a printed copy of my document to the tablet for later reading, note taking, and mark-up. Battery life on this seems to run about a full week and have found the e-pencil only charges when it reaches a certain level. It does pass the vehicle cook testing when forgotten in a hot vehicle. This is well suited for almost anyone, but the key players that come to mind are people that are in businesses, college students, counselors, engineers, folks that love to take a lot of notes.

Got the Mist Green case combo and returned it unopened as I like Blue though it shows the doggie hair more than I figure the green case would...my bad. Only just started to use this Pure model. Have the rm2, rm paper pro and even the rm Move. This rm2 replacement (well in addition to) is indeed lighter, faster, maybe a tad whiter screen (based on YouTube measuring reviews). Thinking I will like the software enhancements, it is worth btw the monthly subscription I feel. Will give it a week to confirm though as a bb tech member I can return within 60 days if I recall correctly if later I don't like it. Really, to me, it is the ease of use...rm keeps it simple yet with great cloud service with some nice online templates as well (if you do the connect membership. No backline so if that is a deal breaker for you there is the paper pro if wanted. Yes, this case a bit at $449 (think it was for the combo with the case and upgraded pen) but a better deal based on what you get than just the base Pure mode with base pen and no case.

This is a really neat device that does exactly what I hoped it would – provided you pay for one of the multiple versions of the subscription it requires to fully unlock everything it can do. If not, it is still a high-quality digital paper screen that includes a nice wireless charging stylus that magnetically attaches to the side and retains a few useful features such as the incredible battery life, compact and premium case that fits the stylus as well as the tablet, and it looks and feels great. It charges via an included USB-C cable and lasts such a long time I haven’t even had it long enough to need to charge it a second time. Writing on it is smooth and natural, and when you choose to you can convert your hand writing to text as you go or scribble along normally. It is perfect for taking notes in meetings, being able to remain free from the distractions a typical tablet brings while staying organized and reducing waste. I love being able to use it to create and think and organize my intentions. I do wish however that the conversion and upload features were available without a subscription. It isn’t an egregious cost but the fact that there is a separate cost bothers me. Without that you can only store a limited number of notes to your account, convert hand writing to text, and share your screen. To make PDF’s, convert to notepads to share, upload to slack or Miro, search your text, or use the additional apps all require a monthly subscription. Without paying for that it has severe limitations. I do really like it but I struggle to overlook the micro-transactions that are necessary to make it work as intended. It’s still a very high-quality tablet that really makes a difference in our day-to-day business operations but I was hoping for a bit more than what I got. I’d still recommend it just with that caveat in the forefront of my mind.

I hate writing—I'd much rather type my notes—but that isn't always practical. When I used to take notes, it was on whatever scrap of paper or sticky note I could grab at the moment. I've been using digital paper tablets for a few years now, including the reMarkable 2 and a few E-Ink Android products, but I keep returning to reMarkable. While my handwriting hasn't improved, my desk is much cleaner and carrying my notes with me is a whole lot easier now. Coming from the reMarkable 2, the Paper Pure doesn't feel as solid. The Pure weighs less than the 2, and you really notice the difference in build quality. On the plus side, the Paper Pure is smaller than its predecessor while retaining the same 10.3-inch screen size. This combo comes with the upgraded pen (Marker Plus), which requires charging. It has a huge advantage over the basic pen because it has a built-in eraser, making it feel much more like real writing. Otherwise, erasing mistakes is a multi-step process—clicking the erase tool, erasing your mistakes, and then clicking back to your writing pen. The pen, with its rubberized barrel, feels good in the hand. I like that there are no buttons to deal with—you write with one end and erase with the other. A few things to note about the pen: The pen is an active pen that requires charging, but this shouldn't be a problem as it charges magnetically when attached to the tablet—just like an Apple Pencil. They say a 5-minute charge will give 1 hour of use. You can check the charge level through the settings menu when it's attached. After using the pen for several days, every time I checked, it said 100%. There is no light on the pen itself to indicate the charge level or if it's actively charging. Compatibility: It is not cross-device compatible. The old original EMR pens don't work with the Pure and the Marker Plus doesn't work with the reMarkable 2. As for the writing surface, initially it's not as smooth and silky as the older model—but I have noticed that with use it seems to be smoothing out. The eraser nub on the pen also initially felt really rough, but it too has been settling in with use. I've noticed the Paper Pure feels much more responsive and has significantly less lag than my older reMarkable 2. The Paper Pure comes with 32 GB of storage, leaving just over 22 GB for storage after accounting for system files. You can organize your thoughts a multitude of ways with folders, notebooks containing multiple pages/sections, and Quick Notes for last-minute thoughts. I also like that pages can be as long as you need them to be—just keep scrolling to add more text. Other tablets have fixed page sizes where you have to keep manually adding pages. While the Paper Pure display is monochrome, you do have color options for pens and highlighters. These colors show up when you view your documents from your phone or PC via their apps. Connectivity Limitations: The Paper Pure only has Wi-Fi; there is no Bluetooth to connect external devices. These tablets do not have browser capabilities, so you cannot connect to captive Wi-Fi networks. In my office, for example, if I want to be connected, I have to use my phone's hotspot because our guest Wi-Fi requires authenticating on a web page first. This will also be true for most hotels, malls, and coffee shops. Of course, there is an app and subscription service called reMarkable Connect. You get a 50-day free trial, after which monthly fees apply ($4/month or $40/year). The subscription gives you access to additional features and loads of templates to download and use. The Connect subscription is also required to give connectivity to to Slack and Microsoft Office 365. The included sleeve is a nice addition; however, it leaves the tablet unprotected during use. It is an active sleeve, the tablet turns on when you take it out and goes to sleep when you put it back. I prefer a flip portfolio for protection while I’m using the tablet. Text conversion - OMG this is the coolest thing! I was surprised how well it recognized my chicken scratch. One downside (at least for me) is that I print and use all capital letters so the conversion to text was also in all caps. The tablet does have to be connected to Wi-Fi for the conversion. The hotspot on my phone was more than adequate for this. Overall, while I still prefer the feel of the reMarkable 2, the Paper Pure is a nice upgrade to its predecessor and I highly recommend it as a single-purpose note keeping device. Five stars.

I got the latest reMarkable Paper pure which is a 10.3” its not your regular type of device tablet due to reMarkable is more focus more on note taking, reading documents and just brain storming things and able to keep up with. you will not find a streaming video, social media pages to browse to or to download multiple app, reMarkable has one focus on only and that to help you keep up with your work or activities. DEVICE & FEATURES the package is very clean and attractive, its a well made packing, inside you get the 10.3” tablet that pretty much greet you as you open. USBC charging cable, marker plus and the blue sleeve that’s separate. I love the presentation which I feel like im owning a premium product. The surface of the tablet did an amazing job of mimicking the feel of writing on paper, the monochrome E ink display helps bring it to life to make it feels believable. the matte surface feel and create enough friction to me that I do feel like like im using paper naturally. the ability to connect my google account was just perfect it was easy to sign in and connect to my wifi, reMarkable has the ability to transfer handwritten to text conversation. you can upload your files including documents or even add your own books to read, Paper Pure has mutiple templates to choose from, ability to have cloud syncing across your device if needed. theres also a subscription you can apply but I didn’t even bother or currently have no need for it. I love the lightweight slim design its such a comfortable to hold that doesnt have an awkward weight differences. EXPERIENCE: Again connectivity has been flawless with zero syncing issues. the tablet will guide you on your process on what to do next to connect to your account and you will need to update to the latest firmware. once you are on home screen there two templates that gives you a walkthrough on how to use and function the reMarkable Paper Pure. ive tested sending word documents and PDF files and have not experienced any delay or issues. for the past view days of using ive been practice and learning about it’s features so far im still getting used to it, I still feel a bit slow on what setting does what, it is my very first experience with the product but I enjoying it. CONCLUSION I dont think reMarkable is here to replace things that youre used to including your laptop or your tablet, but you feel like you just need help to help you focus more with less distraction reMarkable works well for that. the feel of writing naturally, and all the connectivity syncing features it works to the user it definitely holds its own part. the navy blue case is a great compliment of keeping the tablet safe and secure with great clean quality device its working just how reMarkable intended to compliment its products. I could definitely see this being so useful if you write or brainstorm alot, specifically the people who have tons of note taking slips, I think this Paper Pure is the right table to invest in.

The newest device from reMarkable, the Paper Pure is a fine e-ink tablet with one notable exception: the lack of a built in frontlight. This limits it's usability to a degree. However, the Pure has one of the whitest e-ink screens available today, so I believe most people will find it acceptable. I enjoy the writing experience with the included Marker Plus and the slevee is also good quality, but does show dust a bit more than I would wish. The $449 bundle is a very good deal considering the the stylus and sleeve cost $198 purchased separately! The Paper Pure has a plastic back and a glass screen, but it doesn't feel cheaply made or flimsy. It feels solid, but not too heavy for hand held use. The software is limited, but many would argue that that is the point. The Pure is a focused device that does what it does very well and does not require a steep learning curve. User guides come pre-installed if you are new to reMarkakable like me, and I recommend reading them. The reMarkable App is a useful addition since it allows you to add several file types from your mobile device or computer to the Pure. I would recommend the Read on reMarkable chrome extention for desktop as well to convert web artices to a readable format for the Pure.

The reMarkable Paper Pure is a great device to take notes with. Setup is quick and easy. Out of the box to running in less than 15 minutes. There are many reasons to consider a device like this and here's mine. 1. I wanted a way to not have paper notes lying around. 2. I didn't want to utilize a tablet or ipad for note taking as they come with too many other distractions. 3. I wanted a paper-like feel to the stylus and writing surface. The reMarkable Paper Pure checks all these boxes for me. Creating new notes is fast and easy. Notes can be character recognized to allow for easy searching. If this was your sole note-taking device, you can access notes in an app across devices easily. This allows me to access what used to be stacks of paper in a single interface, which is pretty simple. I also will use this when preparing for presentations. I can import documents and files then annotate directly over the top. This makes it very easy to prepare for a talk or presentation. I add in the anecdotes and illustrations to my handouts to make a fast reference while speaking. The writing quality is unmatched. You just can't get this feel on a glass surface tablet. What it's lacking is integrations into other eco-systems. I need a way to push my notes from reMarkable to Joplin. I am exploring options for this, but haven't found one that is easy and simple yet. I'd be five stars all the way if reMarkable made integrations a tab under settings--even if they charged for the ability to leverage them.

What would make this device perfect is a front light but even without this is a fantastic tablet. The white screen is great and text/handwriting looks crisp. Overall gear defies

As a special education teacher, this tablet has completely replaced the mountain of paper binders and student folders I used to haul around every day. It is an absolute lifesaver during IEP meetings because I can organize separate digital notebooks for every child on my caseload, pull up goal progress instantly, and write notes by hand just like on real paper. Because there are no distracting notifications or emails popping up I can stay focused with parents instead of hiding behind my chromebook screen. The pen makes jotting and erasing accommodation tweaks effortless and the blue sleeve folio keeps everything protected and looking professional. If you need a simple, distraction free way to keep endless paperwork organized this bundle is worth every penny.

This is my first e-ink tablet, I liked that Remarkable offered another option that’s a little more bare bones for a slightly cheaper price point. I absolutely love this tablet! It was exactly what I was looking for to use for my job, it makes me better and more efficient at my job. Well worth the investment. The convert to text option works decently well (I have messy handwriting and I’m amazed and how accurate it is). It’s a very helpful feature for when I need to send my notes to other people. It very closely approximates the pen on paper feel that I was looking for. It is very thin and lightweight, perfect portability for the nature of my job. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of an iPad, but I wasn’t looking for another source of distraction. It was exactly what I was wanting and I’m very happy that I pulled the trigger on getting it.

I love how lightweight and portable it is. Feels like writing in a notebook without having to carry around the bulk and weight of multiple notebooks. It's great for taking notes, making lists, journaling. I love that it keeps everything organized with folders and using keywords without having to worry about searching through an entire notebook to find certain notes. Great battery life so I don't have to worry about constantly having to charge it.
