Features
14-Inch Playing Surface for Versatile Techniques
The 14-inch diameter provides a spacious striking area that accommodates professional hand-drumming techniques. The larger surface area contributes to a deeper fundamental pitch and resonant projection, making it a functional choice for ensemble work and solo performances. It supports various playing styles and techniques, facilitating comfortable and expressive playability across all skill levels.
Durable Acousticon® Shell for Consistent Projection
Engineered from a recycled wood-fiber composite, the Acousticon® shell provides a durable and resonant body designed for structural stability. Unlike traditional wooden drums, this material is built to maintain its sonic properties in diverse environments. The lightweight composite construction reduces player fatigue designed for long-term instrument durability suitable for travel and frequent use.
Mondo™ Skyndeep® Head for Weather Resistance
The high-tension synthetic Skyndeep® drumhead is engineered for resistance to humidity and temperature fluctuations. This design helps maintain consistent pitch and clear articulation, reducing the need for frequent retuning during performance. Whether in a dry studio or a humid classroom, the head provides a reliable, durable playing surface that is consistent and ready for use in any climate.
Full-Range Key-Tuning for Precise Control
Equipped with adjustable tuning hardware, this djembe allows percussionists to modify drumhead tension for precise pitch control. This feature is useful for matching the instrument alongside other tuned world percussion, promoting a cohesive sound profile for ensembles. It offers the flexibility required to explore a wide range of musical textures and tonal dynamics with ease during every session.
Earth Finish for Professional Aesthetics
Featuring a neutral Earth finish, this shell offers a professional visual aesthetic suitable for stage performances, classrooms, and studios. The internal shell geometry is acoustically balanced to produce a warm, resonant bass response and articulate slap tones. It is designed for use in diverse musical settings, providing a functional foundation for both educational and professional percussion setups.
