RevAir - Amplifying Ceramic Hot Rollers - Black

RevAir Hot Rollers are a nice way to add volume and bounce to your hair. I really like how they come with clips and pins to hold your hair around the roller. Here’s what I noticed about these – the case is amazing, soft and forgiving, with lots of room but it’s not bulky – you could travel with these. The button to turn them on/off and start the heat is great. You can feel it click and know that it’s heating. On first use there was a smell, you know that burning kind of smell, but it wasn’t overpowering and at least let me know they were heating. There is a small dot in the middle of each hot roller they say turns white to let you know when they are ready. I did not ever notice it turning white really, but I had them on for a good 12 minutes and they were hot. It comes with 2 gloves that cover your thumb and 1st 2 fingers. I found these hard to work with as I couldn’t feel what I was doing. I think using hot rollers may take some experimenting and getting used to. As I was sectioning off my hair to use them, it was kind of awkward. I would have to re-roll sometimes as I wasn’t great at getting the hair to roll around it. The pins to hold them in place work but I found the larger clips to feel more secure and easier to use. The number of rollers you get is sufficient. I did use all of them in my hair but didn’t feel like I needed more of them. I’m going to keep using them and see what I can do with them as they did add volume and a nice bounce to my hair, and I think I can get better with practice. These hot rollers feel like a quality set, and I believe I will continue to use them on occasion.

I tested the RevAir Amplifying Rollers on long, straight hair and overall I really liked the quality and design of this set. One of the first things I liked was the travel/storage case. It keeps everything together and makes the set much easier to store or take with you. The claw clips are also very well made. They feel sturdy and held the rollers securely in place without constantly having to readjust them. The two different roller sizes are a nice feature, especially if you have layered hair. You can choose the roller size depending on the length of each section and whether you want more curl or mainly volume. I found the smaller-diameter rollers better for creating a tighter curl and more volume on longer sections of hair, while the larger rollers worked nicely when I wanted more overall volume and a softer result. The rollers heated up quickly—about 8–10 minutes in my experience—and they got nice and hot. I also liked how securely each roller connects to the heating base. You can tell when the roller is properly seated, rather than wondering whether it’s actually making contact and heating. Another detail I really liked is the soft, velvety surface of the rollers. They’re very soft to the touch and felt nice against my hair. The included gloves are also useful, and I would definitely recommend wearing them when handling the heated rollers. Where I think RevAir could improve this set is the roller selection and quantity. For long hair, I would really like to see more rollers included. I think around 16 total would make this a much more complete set and allow you to work with smaller sections throughout the entire head. I’d also love to see some longer rollers and a smaller-diameter option. A longer roller would make wrapping long hair easier, while thinner rollers would give you the option of creating tighter curls, more defined waves and additional volume. With the current sizes, I found the larger rollers particularly good for volume, but people looking for a tighter curl may want more of the smaller size. Overall, this is a nicely made hot roller set. The rollers heat quickly, the clips hold well, the velvety surface feels great on the hair, and the two included sizes give you some flexibility. For shorter or medium-length hair, the number of rollers may be plenty. For long hair like mine, though, adding more rollers—especially smaller-diameter ones—would make an already good set much more versatile.

This set of RevAir Amplifying Ceramic Hot Rollers heated up nicely. They didn’t take that long to heat up, which is good because there are only 10 rollers. If you have thick hair or really long hair then you will need to roll it in sections. In the box are 5 1.5” hot rollers, 5 1.75” hot rollers, crease free claw clips, classic U clips, heat resistant gloves, and a Carry Bag. Setup is easy. The first time you use these you must remove all the packaging and the white paper under the rollers. To use the hot rollers, take the unit out of the carry bag, plug it up, and turn it on. The little dot on top of the rollers will turn white. Once they turn white, they are ready to use. Make sure you put on the heat resistant gloves first. Rolling your hair for body vs rolling your hair for curls. If you are going to roll your hair for extra body and bounce, then these are great for you. Section the hair off, alternate 1.75” rollers and 1.5” rollers until the entire section is complete. Let the rollers stay in your hair until they get completely cool. For extra hold, while they are still warm, spray your hair lightly with hair spray. Styling your hair after rolling it and taking it down, use your fingers instead of a brush or large tooth comb, so that the curls stay intact. Some choose to brush their hair or comb it to loosen up the curls or just get the bouncy body instead of curls. Rolling your hair for curls is quite simple. Start by sectioning off your hair. Use the smaller rollers on the top and the larger rollers on the bottoms of your hair. Summary: This is a great set of hot rollers that heats up quickly, curls great, and has everything you need to do a full head of hair. There could be more rollers, and that is my only complaint or concern. 10 rollers on thick hair doesn’t seem like a lot until you start using them and can only do once section of your hair at a time.

My wife and daughter have had the opportunity to use this ceramic hot rollers set and have been loving it. My wife had had long hair for years up until recently where she wanted shoulder length and curly. These have been the answer for that. Firstly these hot curlers get hot quick, and I mean very quick. The set comes with 8 curlers, 8 clips and a heating dock. Once plugged in these heated up within a minute it felt and after getting clipped to her hair she had curls quite quickly. From a build stand point you can tell by look and feel that these ceramic curlers are built very well. The carrying case is even built well. The clips that are provided are amazing too, not flimsy or anything like that. They can withstand the heat! Another reason why my wife and daughter liked this set is due to time savings. They noted that a typical curling iron can take quite some time to its heat up, while this set was almost instantly ready to go. All in all if you are looking for a very portable and fast acting hot rollers set then this is possible solution for you. The rollers heat up fast and are built to last!

These have become a nice addition to our styling routine. For anyone with thick hair, I think quality matters even more because you’re asking your styling tools to handle more hair and more weight. Cheap rollers can bend, clips can slip, and poorly made accessories can become frustrating very quickly. I haven’t had that impression with the RevAir set. The quality is one of the things that stands out the most. I also like that the set works well for both my daughter and me. Sometimes products are clearly designed for one age group or one particular hair type, but these have been versatile enough for both of us. We can each adjust how we use them depending on the style we want. Overall, we’re really happy with the RevAir Amplifying Hot Rollers. The combination of good quality, useful accessories, and the volume and shape they give our thick hair makes them a product we’ve genuinely enjoyed using.
