I've had this for a little over a month, the image quality for daytime is really good, and the night videos were decent enough to view but nothing stellar. Over all I was impressed by the image quality vs pricing. I like that your able to adjust the camera view, but it's limited to vertical movement only. It's small enough that it doesn't interfere with eyesight if placed by the mirror. I do wish the buttons on the side were a tad bigger and on the other side, easier to get to. My only major complaint is that it falls when it gets hot from the sticky strip. Monitor size is adequate enough for the settings. Overall, I would recommend it, because of the pricing, the quality of the video, and the ease of use.

Very simple install. Mounted just below headlight dimmer control on my 2017 Outback. The eyesight is not affected at all. Make sure you clean windshield with rubbing alcohol before mounting the slide off bracket (install videos on YouTube) Ran wire along headliner pushed in with provided tool, ran down column after pulling away at top then lifting up panel to slightly remove to place wire on left side as not to interfere with airbag. I removed the panel on right side by glovebox, then removed glovebox (simple removal) then ran the plug to lighter plug.Took about one hour total being careful not to rush.I Download the App. To view footage of road trip etc. Works great, the clarity is great. I chose to use the 1080p at 60 fps. I'm 68 and pretty tech savvy love gadgets. Try this one you'll like it. Besides there are to many crazy driver's out there, CYA. Be safe out there.

First of all, I don't know why I waited so long to buy a dash cam, but I pat myself on the back for purchasing the V1-Gen3. I did a lot of research beforehand, and the V1-Gen3 met my needs based on ease of operation, price, etc. I was not up on the idea of using adhesive on the dash of my Tacoma, so I purchased a suction-cup mount separately for the windshield, and it works great mounted immediately below my rear view mirror and does not obstruct my view at all. I ran the power cord along my headliner (using the tool provided), down the right side of the windshield and glove box. Then I ran it under the dash, securing it out of sight with small wire ties. I also purchased a 64gb Kingston Micro SD card separately to replace the 8gb card that was provided with the camera. The setup was a breeze with excellent menu options. The external button controls are easy to learn and use as well. The quality of the video is outstanding using the system recommended defaults. I did set the "Recording Audio" setting to "Off" because I don't want normal conversations recorded on the video. It is easily turned back on when I want by using the external MIC button. I learned there was a firmware update available, which I did install with no issues. That process was apple-pie easy. I am well pleased with the entire operation from set-up to daily use. The only thing I would like to see is the availability of a longer loop time on the videos. The max is now 3 minutes. I would suggest maybe 15 minutes. Files would be bigger, but some space on the SD card would be saved on fewer file structure blocks in the system. My Next step is to purchase the rear-view camera to connect with my front-view unit. I highly recommend the V1-Gen3 to anyone, especially to first-time dash cam users.

I started watching dash cam videos on YouTube and it quickly became very apparent, that for the fairly small price of a dash cam, it can really save you in an accident as people tend to state they're not at fault even when they are! Having proof is a very welcome relief and I feel much better having one. This Rexing Dash Cam is very easy to install, records amazingly good video, and is simple to get the images onto your computer or cell phone. It takes 1, 2, or 3 minute video snippets continuously and that makes it very easy to download only the small parts you may want to keep. It also has a gravity sensor that will automatically "lock in" the video that was taken if it senses a collision! That's great as it keeps on continuously recording and when your memory card (required to record and save videos) is full, it starts overwriting the previous files, except any that are locked on the card. So, if you have an accident and there is video locked on your Rexing memory card, you will NOT lose it. This is very important if you need it to prove your innocence in an accident or incident. It's small, well built, and non-intrusive on the windshield. I read a lot of reviews from many sites and this Rexing model showed up pretty often. I picked up an extra mount and wiring set so I can easily switch it to my other car. That way, I only have to buy one! I highly recommend this and if you watch the YouTube videos of others dash cam footage, you'll most likely want one very soon! One more thing, it's great to review things you saw while driving that is interesting or significant, and if you want to keep that memory, you have it recorded! Nice!

The overall video quality isn't quite as good as I was expecting for a 4k camera. At night, lights look slightly out of focus. For example, sitting behind a car with small LED tail lights tend to run together as one light. With my old dash cam, each LED is clearly visible. Daytime recording is good, but objects seem slightly out of focus at a distance but focus better as the object gets closer. I think the focus is set a bit to close, as rain drops on the windshield are quite clear. I didn't see any way to adjust, so it is what it is. Overall, its not "bad" but I was expecting better clarity considering it is a 4k camera. The video quality isn't quite as good as my 2 year old HD dashcam in my other car.

This camera is not meant to be looked at while you are driving. Video quality is not great when your looking on that small LCD screen. Video quality is awesome when you view it from a computer. Awesome day quality, night quality needs some work. Use it with the correct GPS tracker it will provide better proof in court

Doesn't capture what I really needed. Images are not clear enough for my purposes.

I am bought it because of the good reviews and distinct design. I wanted something small, low profile and good video quality. My main problem with this product is the angle of the LCD when it is installed on the windshield. It very hard to see anything from the LCD because of the angle is so tilted and everything becomes blurred or even just a big blue block. It is impossible for me to adjust the camera angle, because I cannot see. I have a Papago dash cam in my other car, the LCD is vertical, and we can comfortably see whenever the car starts. The second problem is the size. It's bulky, and way too big than it is necessary. It's not low profile at all when installed. The quality of the picture I assume are good, although I have not checked carefully. I set it to 4K hopefully it can catch the license plates, but again, I don't know because I cannot see from LCD. I need to take the SD out to see in the computer. I tried WIFI app, but I couldn't get it connected. After 5 mins, i gave up. I don't really care if it is working or not. I saw bad reviews of it from other people. If you do care about this feature, it is something you want to watch. It comes with 32GB microSD card, (not 64GB). I checked the internet and it says that it will record 20 mins of 4K video on 32GB card. Overall, i am VERY VERY disappointed to pay $139 for this product. I think it is over priced, and mainly LCD angle almost make this product unusable. I really want to return it, but since I already opened the box, and installed in the car, it is hard. I hope the manufacturer is listening here too. You have a very unhappy customer, because of your careless design. I won't recommend this product to anybody. I don't know why there are so many good reviews. They don't have the same problem?

I had this dash cam installed by Best Buy. Once installed, the setup was very straightforward, and the smartphone app worked with no issues. I would buy this unit again. Rexing offered me $10.00 to write this review, but this is my honest opinion.

I bought one 16 months ago. Around 4 months ago (right after the warranty ran out) it started cutting off and on. Now it does that all the time. Lots of my videos are corrupted. I will not buy this brand again.
