Rezet - Truth In Between - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

With their sixth, self-titled studio album, Rezet are back with full force!Eleven songs and a piano intro offer listeners first-class speed/thrash metal, which fits easily between international classics from the 80s and 90s, as well as the latest tips from today. The recordings seem like a second spring for the band honest, direct, fresh and ultra heavy! This may be one of the strongest and most mature line-ups in the band's history. At the beginning of the previous year, none other than the string sorcerer Nikolay Atanasov (AGENT STEEL), who comes from Bulgaria and lives in Denmark, was recruited. He complements the line-up with the bassist Lorenz Kandolf (TRAITOR among others), who joined beforehand. Since the debut InchHave Gun, Will TravelInch (2010), which is now considered a classic in the InchNew Wave of Thrash MetalInch, the core of the group has been band founder, singer, guitarist and main composer Ricky Wagner, as well as the exceptional Drummer Bastian InchatttInch Santen. Rezet has never sounded so fresh and bursting with aggressiveness. The album was once again produced, mixed and mastered by Eike Freese (HELLOWEEN; DEEP PURPLE; HEAVEN SHALL BURN and many more), Hamburg's rock & metal producer par excellence! Furthermore, parts of the recordings being recorded in the band's own InchRad Toad StudiosInch in the far north of Schleswig-Holstein. Pär Oloffsson (Exodus, Aborted, Pathology, Traitor, Finsterforst and many more) offers the dystopian visualization of the album and paints the picture of a mechanical landscape that is being reclaimed by new life. The Inchgreat resetInch has probably never been so close... 1. Opus 1984. 2 2. Time To Die 3. Unholy Grail 4. Duck & Cover 5. Burning Prophets 6. Together Apart 7. Prisoner Of Fate 8. Out of Baltimore, Maryland comes The S.E.T. who are crafting 100% unapologetic hardcore music. Formed between bassist Che (founder of Flatspot Records), guitarist Brady (formerly of Turnstile), and drummer Ryan (formerly of End It), the band started through jam sessions in early 2024. Before they knew it, they had instrumentals for seven songs written and were ready to put lyrics to the tracks, and the search for a vocalist began. Che spotted Tim hopping on stage and grabbing the microphone at Disturbin' The Peace Festival, invited him to try out for vocalist, and The S.E.T. was then complete. The S.E.T. will their debut Self Evident Truth EP, on February 27th through Flatspot Records. It's 15 minutes of fury and groove, taking cues from Baltimore acts such as Gut Instinct (whose Sebastian Gorgone features on InchWhite LiesInch) and Stout and the crossover sounds of New York like Leeway and Judge. Recorded and mixed by Justin Day at New Noise Recording and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, the tracks roar with thick bass lines, fast-paced drums, and rage fueled vocals. Lyrics come from a place of candor, expressing the basis of equal rights and defying the propaganda the current administration is spewing. As The S.E.T. comes into fruition, the band wants to exist as a place to put words to action and come together as a community through both their music and live shows.
