About this product
The indefatigable Antonio Florio, along with his associates from Cappella Neapolitana, has succeeded, with a work by Donato Ricchezza, in unearthing another major rediscovery from the Neapolitan Baroque. The labors of Florio - coupled with the ability to turn dry notes on a dusty manuscript into a sumptuous audio feast - can be no better demonstrated than with this on Glossa of Los Santos Ninos InchOratorio di San Giusto e San PastoreInch, written by a composer who was a pupil of the great Francesco Provenzale. Very little else is known about Donato Ricchezza, apart from him bequeathing a quantity of scores to the Oratory of the Girolamini in Naples where he worked. The oratorio relates the story of the defense offered by the Inchholy childrenInch - the brothers Giusto and Pastore, to be martyred in Spain during the Persecution of Diocletian in 303/4 - against the charge of being Christians, as leveled against them first by a soldier and then by the Roman governor Daciano. Marta Fumagalli (contralto), Federica Pagliuca (soprano), Luca Cervoni (tenor) and Giuseppe Naviglio (bass) vividly occupy these four vocal roles. Meager additional knowledge about Ricchezza says that he wrote eight other oratorios and, as a bonus, an aria from La gara degli elementi is included here, as are a pair of sinfonias by Ricchezza's contemporary Gaetano Veneziano. Album Tracks 1. Sinfonia 2. La Fiamma Bambina 3. All'armi, All'armi 4. Non Sia Chi Non Adori - Ben Vedrà la Destra Irata 5. Non Turbarti, O Mio Sire 6. Ma Ridotti Al Posto Atroce 7. Resta, O Mio Fido 8. Mostri Dell'erebo 9. A Strage E Ruina 10. Alla Scola D'amor 11. Insolenti Garzoni - Troppo Tenero 12. Qual'infamia - Sempre Il Tronco Adorerò 13. Dell'etade Il Fiore Invola 14. Che Pretendi Tiranno 15. L'intendo E'l Soffro 16. Dilatarci Al Sommo Bene 17. Ignoranti Che Sete - Ben Si Accordan

![Soroush Sadeghi - From Italy to Persia - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/5fa69c9f-6b1d-4451-a1e5-9fe0324b760c.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
Persian folk music is a very old traditional music, mostly played and recorded with Persian instruments. However, we have chosen to record this collection with modern instruments such as the oboe and the piano. At a time when many people in the world are bound by the borders of their countries and crossing borders has become an important issue, I decided to record this collection. I want to express in my own language and with my music that music belongs to all countries of the world and knows no borders, and that one can clearly hear and realize similarities in the music of different countries. Antonio Pasculli's very special ideas and creativity shine through in his works. He challenges the musician in various ways, such as high tempi or the use of circular breathing. Perhaps for this reason, the works of this great Italian composer are very rarely performed and recorded. The Persian composer Reza Vali wrote several collections of Persian music for orchestra and chamber orchestra, including a collection of new Persian folk music. The second collection consisting of nine Persian folk songs was composed in 1981. The folk songs are based on traditional Persian melodies. In this collection Reza Vali uses the quarter-tone technique. These Persian folk pieces are performed and recorded here for the first time with the oboe. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the composers of this collection with this recording of their works. (Aryan Gheitasi) Album Tracks 1. Concerto Sopra Motivi Dell'opera 'La Favorita' Di Donizetti 2. 9 Persian Folk Songs 3. Palinderome 4. 3 Dialogues 5. Andante and Allegro
