On such cuts as InchFree Time,Inch one hears the influence of Sonny Rollins with his hard bop and unique thematic improvisations, as well as the hard-driving free jazz idioms employed by the likes of Archie Shepp and Pharoah Sanders. Along with friends from the NY jazz scene - Randy Brecker, Joey Calderazzo, Adam Nussbaum and others, Cole has created a dynamic, swinging, recording for our times. Originally released in 2001.
