Richard Janssen is a Dutch guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known as the frontman of the influential rock bands The Fatal Flowers, Shine and Rex. After forming The Fatal Flowers in 1984, the band quickly rose to national and international prominence, releasing several acclaimed albums and becoming a cornerstone of the Dutch rock scene before disbanding in 1990. Janssen later founded Shine, a project that began as a solo endeavor and evolved into a full band, releasing two albums in the 1990s.
