I recently purchased the Ring Indoor 1080p Security Camera (1st Gen) in Black, and I must say that it has provided me with a sense of security and peace of mind. This compact and sleek device offers a range of features that make it a worthy addition to any home security setup. First and foremost, the video quality of this camera is excellent. With a full HD 1080p resolution, the clarity and detail in the footage are impressive. Whether it's daytime or nighttime, the camera captures clear and sharp images, allowing you to see everything that's happening in your home. The camera's wide-angle lens provides a broad field of view, minimizing blind spots and ensuring comprehensive coverage of the room. This is particularly useful if you want to monitor a larger space or keep an eye on multiple areas simultaneously. Additionally, the camera's adjustable mount allows for flexible positioning, enabling you to find the perfect angle for optimal coverage. Setting up the Ring Indoor 1080p camera was a breeze. The Ring app guides you through the process step by step, making it user-friendly even for those who are not particularly tech-savvy. Once connected to your home Wi-Fi network, you can access the live feed, receive motion alerts, and review recorded footage directly from your smartphone or tablet. The app also allows for easy customization of motion detection settings and provides options for creating activity zones, which enhance the camera's accuracy and reduce unnecessary notifications. One of the standout features of the Ring Indoor 1080p camera is its two-way audio functionality. This allows you to not only see but also hear what's happening in your home. Whether it's talking to a family member, scaring off an intruder, or simply checking in on your pets, the ability to communicate through the camera adds an extra layer of convenience and security. However, there are a few areas where the first-generation Ring Indoor 1080p camera could be improved. While the video quality is generally excellent, the night vision could be enhanced to provide better visibility in complete darkness. Although it performs reasonably well in low-light conditions, a dedicated infrared mode would be beneficial for situations where there is no ambient light. Another aspect worth noting is that the camera is designed for indoor use only. Therefore, it may not be suitable for those looking for an outdoor surveillance solution or requiring weather resistance. In conclusion, the Ring Indoor 1080p Security Camera (1st Gen) in Black is a reliable and versatile option for monitoring the interior of your home. Its high-quality video, wide-angle lens, easy setup process, and two-way audio make it an excellent choice for enhancing your home security. While there is room for improvement in terms of night vision capabilities and outdoor functionality, overall, this camera provides excellent value for the price and delivers on its promise of keeping your home safe.
This Ring camera is super easy to set up, link in a Ring system, has a great picture, great adjustable field and sensitivity motion sensor, super night vision, great 2 way conversation ability and live view option thats easy to access anywhere with a smart phone and the Ring app. Great price too. I give it a 10 out of 19 in everyway.

This was recommended by my sister since her house is deck out with smart device. I just picked up 2 camera today and I love this camera. Eventhough it says indoor camera I have it, facing the window directly watching my car. And its so super clear even with the screen in the window. For a moment I got scared because the motion alert keep going off every 5 min. So I text my sister and told her I was scared because it kept alerting me and nobody was down stairs (lol). Come to find out the signal motion is so strong it alert me every time a car pass by. So its a keeper and now I'm not scared of the motion alert. LOL

We have this indoor camera in a front window to record what is going on outside our front door. It is small and the image and sound quality are great. We have the optional setting set to just people, since we did not want to record every car that drives by. The amazing thing is it picks up great quality sound and images through a closed window. The sound through a closed window is good at about 12 feet away and naturally much further with the window open. It picks up human movement at a greater distance with the window closed or open. The day or night vision quality is fantastic. We subscribed to Ring plan to have a 60 day record of events which is well worth the money. The system will also alert your phone or iPad in real time. We have that feature turned off and just review the videos periodically.

Sleek small camera which does its job. It has a low key profile good to place in corner places. Nice view even in low light. Easy to pair with Ring system.

I’ve had this Ring unit for a week now and I like it. I wanted to integrate another Ring security camera into my existing Ring system, but more importantly one small enough to sit on the window sill to detect anyone prowling outside my front window. This camera is smaller than my hand. The motion detection works perfect. Only had one false detection (motion alarm) from moving shadows on a heavy windy day. I readjusted the motion settings and this fixed it. The motion zones are adjustable to the specific areas that you only want. The night vision is basically on par with most other Ring cameras, meaning it’s ok but could be better. Supposedly this camera is designed for interior window placement, it has a setting just for this. Only problem is this camera emits a blue light when in use which reflects back off the window, greatly noticeable at night. The night time use and visibility at night works best when there’s no light around the window. Ring should have made this camera in black because the white reflects too much off the window at night. Based on its use so far, I highly trust it will accurately detect and alarm my iPhone if someone is prowling around outside my window day or night.

I highly recommend them. I keep them around my house so that way I can see what’s going on in all rooms of the house. I definitely will recommend this product if you have multiple rooms, especially if you have a little ones run around. also has night vision.

Easy to install, small enough for it not to be noticeable, love the color from the camera and night vision on it too, sound is great and speaker too. The unit is very sensitive to movement and that’s a positive ++ I highly recommend it.

The camera itself it easy to install and looks good. I don't care for the bright blue light that is always on since it's a dead giveaway to it's location. Good quality picture (for being on 2.4) and the night vision works well for the space it's in. 2 way talk is very good and anyone ive talked to had no trouble hearing me. The cameras support smart facial recognition with Rings monthly sub service, but you can get humanoid smart detection for free which will stop all the pet alerts you will get. Downside? Ring cameras do not support 5G wifi which causes frequent issues connecting to the camera during high internet usage (like if people are watching netflix or hulu). It also degrades quality of live view which presents itself as 720p or lower picture vs 1080p. Blows my mind Ring does not support 5G connection. Arlo and Nest both support it. Quality is not so bad on the indoor cams since they are closer to the router, but outside cams suffer heavily with distance from router.

Absolutely love it. Was easy to install. Has great pictures and sound. I couldn’t be happier with a high price camera. The size is very small which is also a good thing. We have it set where we can see and hear the entire room. Ring is great. This is our 4th one. Will definitely buy again.

Great camera. I use it for my living room and I was afraid it wouldn’t capture the entire room but it actually captures the entire room.

Love my rings,I have them on every corner of my house and two inside, let's me know if any movement, including animals if desired. The floodlight cams eliminate the need for flood lights as they come on with the slightest motion. With the yearly fee they're also replaced if they become faulty.

So far this is working out as planned and expected. I'm able to watch live when needed and talk to the person on the other end and they can talk back aswell. The lag so far only seems to be about a second or two not much at all. Its great and I will eventually purchase more. I have 2 cameras that both link to one app and the app is very affordable, its like $3 a month per camera. Well worth it and super easy to install!

Works great. It sucks that it needs a monthly subscription to record and save data. Overall worth it tho
