Q: What will happen if the ring door bell get wet for the rain
A: I just hosed off the side of my house and some water ran down the house and my ring doorbell stopped working. I think Im going to try another brand
Q: Hello does this work with the standard ring doorbell? The 720P model?
A: Yes. I have the basic model and until I used the wedge, every vehicle would set the ring off. Now it works just right. My only complaint is the price of the wedge, which I though was way too much for a piece of plastic.
A: Yes. No Hits. I was standing right in front a few feet away. Even If I waved my hand or walked in front, NO HITS. We researched and found out about the wedge. Before I ordered it, we tested adding small pieces of wood behind the ring to help point down until we get it and now getting hits on everything.
Q: Can the video (Ring) doorbell be attached to brick or does it have to be some sort of flat siding?
A: Yes it can! You must drill holes and use plastic anchors. I just used the drill bit, plastic anchors and mounting screws that came with the ring doorbell itself although I think the wedge kit came with it's own. It is a good idea to use a bit of silicone sealer between the wedge kit and brick to keep moisture and insects from getting into the house through the wiring hole.
A: This specific wedge only points down but they make a wedge made for angles, too. The other wedge angles left to right.
Q: does it work with ring doorbell 2???
A: This set will NOT work with Ring 2, there is a different set for the Ring 2.
Q: We have 4 inch vinyl siding. Will this work? Does it have a lip to fit under the siding?
A: Yes, this product will work on vinyl siding. It does not have a lip and must be screwed into the siding.
Q: Can u double triple stack multiple wedges on top of each other.
A: It comes with 3 wedges. You have the option to use one to three of the wedges. You will stack them and then screw them in altogether with a long screw provided.
