A: Yes, LFE inputs and outputs use standard RCA cables like this one. There’s actually no difference between a “subwoofer/LFE cable” and any other RCA cable.
A: I'm not sure the guaging matter in this cable for the sake of its only giving a signal to your subwoofer and not sound quality. But if I were to answer your question, I would say its equivalent to a 10-12guage wire

A: I bought this cable from Best Buy. Having not dissected it, I cannot guarantee it is shielded but at this price point and quality level I would be pretty confident that it is not only shielded but "dual" shielded. Also, I can vouch for the performance. It works very well.
