I'm using the adapter in my HP 385 photo printer. I used to have an older BT adapter, but lost it somewhere. Thank goodness! This new adapter transfers the data so the printer can work so much faster. The smaller form factor may mean that it can get lost more easily, but it also means that it is much more portable than the older BT adapter. In the image, it will store nicely in the space where the photo paper emerges, without the fear of it going inside the printer. All in all I highly recommend it!

Installing it on Windows 7 was relativity easy. However, it requires multiple drivers and some are only available on the net and are hard to find. I got this device to use Motorola Bluetooth Buds with my computer. It did not work so well. It takes too long to pair. The signal drops off and on and I can tell its the Bluetooth device because I can hear that disconnect sound and when it reconnects, the reconnection prompt shows up in the task bar. The $20 price tag seems a little high for what seems to be no more than a generic Bluetooth dongle. My advice - skip it.

I needed Bluetooth support for a laptop that I just bought from Best Buy. Although it was a beautiful laptop with amazing specs, it was lacking Bluetooth so I picked up this Rocketfish Bluetooth Adapter. Let me just say first and foremost... I cannot stress this enough... DO NOT PLUG IN THE ADAPTER FIRST AND DO NOT INSTALL THE DRIVERS THAT ARE INCLUDED ON THE DISC THAT COMES WITH THE ADAPTER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE USING A 64-BIT VERSION OF WINDOWS 7! The drivers on it are pretty outdated and you can get the full package with up to date drivers from the Rocketfish site rocketfishproducts dot com. The drivers also include absolutely everything you need to enjoy the latest Bluetooth technology it has to offer. Go to Service & Support then Drivers & Downloads and finally enter RF-MRBTAD into the search box which will take you to the drivers for this adapter which will work with ALL versions of Windows. Once I got it installed and set up on my laptop, I connected my iPhone 4S to it and it paired successfully on my 64-bit Windows 7! It streamed audio being played from the phone to the adapter via AirPlay and can even control my music using stop, play, skip, previous, repeat, etc from the laptop itself using media player buttons! Next I tested a PS3 controller and it also paired successfully! I can play games using the controller with no problems! It's a bit of work to get it up and running at first due to the outdated CD included but in the end it's worth it to have the adapter fully working as it's supposed to. I've included two pictures to this review to show that it indeed works as intended. Hopefully this review helps you out!

I used this on my older computer without Bluetooth to stream video from my phone. Did the job. Compact size. Just need to be careful not to misplace it, because it is small. A carry pouch might be nice for it.

Pros: VERY small, cheap, good range and easy to control/manage. I use this device for my wireless head phones to game online and it works flawlessly. Cons: Almost too small. Once placed in the USB drive you are almost scared you won't be able to get it back. But it fits just flush with the computer case with just enough room to snatch it up. *Remember: Having multiple wireless devices running at the same time and near each other can cause interference. Adjust hardware and software accordingly.

Great product. Got a very strong signal and connects to any bluetooth product in the vicinity. Great alternative for computers without bluetooth. I primarily use this product to use my bluetooth speaker.

This product comes in handy when transferring files to and from Bluetooth-enabled devices. Buying a Bluetooth mouse is a great alternative to buying a wireless mouse because you will only use one USB port and have Bluetooth connectivity to use other devices. It is also great to be able to switch it to another computer. This product was recommended to me by a store sales person. When I bought this adapter, I didn't fully read the description on the packaging. I later discovered that it is not fully compatible with Windows 8. However, it still works. The software just will not install properly.

i needed a bluetooth adapter for my desktop computer. The blue shirt at Best Buy pointed this one out for me in the store. I bought it home and found it easy to use. I plugged it into the the USB adapter and it was immediately recognized. i do not know very much about bluetooth technology but wanted to connect my desktop with a tablet using bluetooth. It worked with both the Windows and Linux operating systems.

This is a great little Bluetooth adapter it has great range and is very easy to use. I didn't have any problems with setting this up and connecting what i wanted to it right away. And you can't beat the price either compared to some of the other Bluetooth adapters i was looking at!

This is a very nice micro USB Adapter. It is so small that it sticks out from your PC or Laptop about a 1/2 inch or less, so you can leave it plugged into your laptop and not have to worry about it catching on anything. It is also very easy to install. On Windows 7 or higher, just plug it in and you're ready to go! On older version of Windows there is a CD you have to run to install Drivers, but that is also a quick and simple process. My only real complaint is that this is only Bluetooth version 2.1+ Not the latest, and quickest, version 4.0; however, since blue tooth devices are backwards compatible, it is a non issue, as it will still detect and run any device connected to it just fine. I'm quite happy with my purchase, and considering all the trouble I had trying to find one of these in store (I had to have 2 associates help me look for one!) I'm sure a lot of other people like it as well!

The office laptop that my company furnished me came without bluetooth ... what? Easily solved ... purchased this Rocketfish Micro Bluetooth adaptor and problem solved. My personal computer equipment is all Mac + I added a bluetooth keyboard that allows me to switch the keyboard an use it with three diffract devices, that way I don't have to have multiple keyboards on my home office desk. This bluetooth adaptor worked flawlessly, allowing me to connect with my keyboard so now I can go back and forth between my MacBook Pro and the Windows 8 machine the office provided me. The only downside for me is that it takes 1 of 3 USB ports, but given the added capability, its a good tradeoff. Great product, would highly recommend to family and friends.

I needed bluetooth on my laptop so I could connect my wireless speakers without having to use an audio cord. This bluetooth adapter was small, inexpensive and easy to install. It has made life a lot more easier.

I purchased this adapter to use a bluetooth speaker with my PC. The install was simple and straightforward. After that I was able to connect both my phone, and the speaker with no problems. Unfortunately thats when things got tough. To be able to use the external speaker I had to find how to change the default device. That was buried under 3 different sub-tabs. And searching in windows help was frankly no help. And if you're thinking about using this to transfer files to you're phone using bluetooth forget it. If you've got a cable to connect your phone you're better off doing that. Transfer times are unbearable. Range of wireless signal is decent I can set up the speaker about 25 feet from my pc, and partially blocked by a wall and still get the signal to go through no problem. I guess it simply comes down to what you plan on using the device for.

Install does not go as indicated in the instructions. Having to go online to get the drivers for my WIN7 operating system is poor planning. After finally getting it installed connecting to my other Bluetooth devices was not smooth at all. The software is not intuitive at all. Started getting Blue Screens of death shortly after the install. The "first" I've ever had with the 4 year old laptop. Uninstalled and reinstalled per the online helps. Now the laptop won't recognize the adapter is in the laptop. Taking it back.

The highest praise I can give to a product is that it does what it is supposed to do without a problem. This certainly does that! It's not a sexy product, it has a simple purpose. There is literally only one use, and it has worked every time I've needed it. It's priced well and they don't try to pack on features and junk to make it seem like more than it is. It's a solid product I feel as though I can depend on. End of story. Though I'd like a case or something with it. This is hardly bigger than the USB plug. It's hard to handle if you have large hands. But this is a personal thing, not a problem with the device. If it were bigger, it would catch on anything that walked by the computer. So the benefits for the few certainly wouldn't outweight the risk of damaging a laptop or pc.

I bought this for a Bluetooth device on my laptop, so I could run iTunes through a Bose Bluetooth speaker. The only issue I had was that the driver was a little tricky to install. Other then that, it works great. My laptop is in the living room, and I can drag this speaker where ever, and it seems to have no problems picking it up. I don't know what the maximum range is, but I have a smaller house, so it works anywhere in my house, and even outside when I'm grilling.
