About This Item

3 Emerson, Palmer & Berry - Rockin' The Ritz NYC 1988 (Sky Blue Vinyl with Inserts) - 1 am happy these rare 3 recordings have finally seen the light of day. This group was a transition for Keith, and myself that eventually got us back to Emerson, Lake & Palmer. We had formed Inch3Inch with Robert Berry, at the suggestion of Geffen Records and I think we made some pretty innovative music. This live concert proves the energy behind our music was very much alive and it still sounds relevant today. Some might say this was a left turn in our musical journey; but, in the end, the scenery was still enjoyable.Inch Carl Palmer, September 2017 How many times in a lifetime do you get a chance to realize your wildest dreams? For Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer that dream was realized many times. Both Keith and Carl wanted to get back to their roots and tour smaller venues, as Carl had said, InchI can connect with more people in a 2500 seat club than I can in an arena. You only see the first 10 rows in an arena.Inch For me, the tour was a continuation of that dream. I remember our show at the Ritz quite vividly; we had played many venues where the ELP fans were checking out their hero's and of course 'the new guy'. But the Ritz was different. Half the audience was the die-hard ELP fan wanting to hear their favorites. The other half was new fans that had heard Talkin' Bout' on the radio and there to see this new hit band. The audience ranged from 16 to 60 years old, it was definitely energizing, and the power of Inch3Inch was in full force. I believe you can feel it when you listen to the energy in this great live recording from The Ritz in New York City. We were a true rock and roll band playing our hearts out, hitting it hard and heavy. As Keith told me about a month after our InchLive Boston '88Inch, came out a few years ago InchRobert I just listened to the new live and... we

Deftones - Around the Fur - VINYL LP
    4.6(12)

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. This LP version comes pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Album Tracks 1. My Own Summer (Shove It) 2. Lhabia 3. Mascara 4. Around the Fur 5. Rickets 6. Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) 7. Lotion 8.
