About this product
2023 , the 17th album from the Canadian singer/songwriter. The Vivian Line features 12 songs written and performed by Ron. InchThe Vivian Line is a rural route right near where we live in Stratford (Ontario). Whenever we have to get out of the city we jump on The Vivian Line and it dumps us out onto the highway. I wondered about the name when we first moved there and thought it was intriguing... it sort of represents escaping from our old life in Toronto to this new phase we're in. And it's also like a portal to my old life when I have to get back there. I recorded it (The Vivian Line) with Brad Jones in Nashville. (Brad played bass on three of my earlier records Other Songs, Whereabouts and Blue Boy), and it's a very rich-sounding, almost baroque pop record. (A distant cousin of Whereabouts.) The songs were mostly inspired by this stage in life that I find myself in and trying to figure it all out.Inch

This vinyl only contains audio selections from the DVD , LIVE CBGB 1982. Sure it sounds confusing, but the material on the CD and LP, while culled from the same series of live shows around Christmas 1982 at CBGBs, is completely different. Besides, who can have enough live stuff from the world's best hardcore band at the peak of their prowess? Includes blazingly awesome live versions of InchFVK,Inch InchHow Low Can a Punk Get,Inch and more.

Originally released in 2004, Retriever will be available on vinyl for the first time with a limited edition blue pressing and a limited edition CD in card gatefold sleeve. Retriever was produced by Martin Terefe and features a wealth of finely honed Sexsmith gems including 'Hard Bargain' (covered by Emmylou Harris on her 2011 album of the same name), 'Imaginary Friends' ('a cautionary children's song' says Ron), and Ron's tribute to Bill Withers 'Whatever It Takes' (covered [as a duet with Ron] by Michael Buble on his 2009 multi-platinum album 'Crazy Love')
