Rossi,Daniela - Duarte: Homages, Works for Guitar Solo - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Dusan Bogdanovic, an award-winning guitarist who gave his highly acclaimed debut recital at Carnegie Hall in 1977, has been described by Guitar Review Magazine as 'a composer of masterful craft with a genuine clarity and purity of vision'. Bogdanovic sees this recording as a 'multidimensional diary' of his works from 1977 to 2024, from the Balkan folk influences of the early Sonata No. 1 via the jazz and world music of his middle period, to the emotional and spiritual reconciliation of joy and sorrow in Lux et umbra, a work dedicated to guitarist Daniela Rossi.

2014 album from the Alt-Country singer/songwriter. Two years after the critical success of her breakout second album, INDESTRUCTIBLE MACHINE, Lydia Loveless emerges from the trenches of hometown Columbus, OH with the gloves off and brimming with confidence. While her previous album was described as InchHillbilly Punk with a Honky Tonk heartInch (Uncut), this one can't be so quickly shoe-horned into neat categorical cubbyholes. No, things are different this time around Loveless and her band have collectively dismissed the genre blinders and sonic boundaries that come from playing it from a safe, familiar place. Writing from this new-found place of conviction, Lydia crafted 10 songs that are stark in their honesty, self-examination, and openness.
