About this product
Rowena Wise is a Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter whose work balances beauty and mess with rare emotional precision. Hailed as a 'lyrical assassin' by the Australian triple j community, Wise writes songs that feel like intimate conversations - ruminations on love, alienation, longing, and selfhood delivered with quiet courage and disarming honesty. Drawing from the storytelling lineage of 60's folk while grounded in indie rock, garage pop, and alt-folk, she finds truth in fiction and humanity in contradiction.

Rowena Wise explores the frayed edges of human desire on her album Bad Things Feel Good. The record dives into the complex emotions where attraction and danger meet. With a sound that is both raw and melodic, Wise delivers a poignant collection of songs that get under the skin. Her poetic and sharp lyrics expose a dark, seductive atmosphere. Musically, the album moves within the alternative rock landscape. The songs combine elements of indie rock with a dark, sometimes gritty edge, resulting in a layered and dynamic listening experience.
