The shredder performs well and will cut CDs if you pre cut the CD in half. It also cuts credit cards and of course paper. Make sure you don't overload the feed channel, but there is a reverse function to help clear jams. The bin fills up fairly quickly what is adequate for me.

Shredder works well for short periods of work. Do not try large amounts of shredding at one time. After 5 minutes or so, needs to cool down. Since this "time" feature was not part of reviews even on more expensive models, not sure how much you need to spend to get a real workhorse. Does run quietly and does shred even the max amount of sheets at a time very well.

I have been looking for a replacement shredder for my broken one. This one fits my basic shredding requirement. It does its job of shredding papers of up to 10 sheets. (But, I only do 5 at most at a time). Haven't tried shredding CD or credit cards yet. A little downside is that it gets a little hot when in continuous use for over an hour. I suggest let it rest for a few minutes before shredding again. No issues at all. Yup, the bin is a small but since I only use it occasionally for shredding, this works for me still. Easy to use. Not heavy. Fits right under my desk table at home.

Shreds continuously, fast and quiet. Well built, not too large and easy to move around the house. Clear front plastic view finder shows when shredder should be emptied. Good value for the price.

This is a beautiful designed paper shredder. Not a big bin, 3.5 gallon capacity, it is perfect for home use to shred important papers.It's quiet and shreds easily. Royal shredders are good quality.

This is a very good shredder for home use. Small and compact fits well under desk. Be sensible and don't try to shred too many papers at once.. So far no problems.

My old shredder had long ago stopped working properly and I desperately needed another one. This is a medium duty shredder. I use it for home so it's perfect! I shred things as I go received from the mail, or some random item received from work or school.

I bought this shredder because I dropped the head of my previous shredder and ruined it. When I got it it seemed ok for the money. I shredded the little buildup of documents that accumulated and that was that. It's been less than 3 weeks and I decided to shred more stuff that was accumulating. I stuck a sheet in and nothing. It powers on and goes in reverse but no shredding. Tried everything to no avail. Looked into returning it and it not possible because Best Buy has a 15 day return policy for that item. What? $40 piece of junk. What a waste. I'll be going elsewhere for my next shredder.

It needs to rest quite often. Not for big jobs. Everyday day stuff is fine

We purchased this shredder for our home office, it works great and it isn't noisy.

No problems so far with various sized stacks of paper. I haven't run anything else through.
