Ruins Alone - Ruins Alone [COMPACT DISCS] Jewel Case Packaging date 11/08/2011

Vinyl LP pressing. 2014 from singer/songwriter Liz Harris AKA Grouper. RUINS is the follow-up to 2013's THE MAN WHO DIED IN HIS BOAT. Similar to TMWDIHB, RUINS' tracks mostly dates back to recordings made in Portugal in 2011, during a residency from the Galeria Ze dos Bois. The album channels 'a lot of political anger and emotional garbage' she was experiencing at the time, and was recorded using little more than a 4-track, a stereo mic and an upright piano. There's been plenty of Harris-related activity to get into this year, with Harris working with filmmaker Paul Clipson to produce HYPNOSIS DISPLAY, and she also appears on the intoxicating opening track to the Bug's ANGELS AND DEVILS album.

Outside Music is proud to present Doug Paisley's InchConstant CompanionInch, Originally released in 2011 on No Quarter Records.InchDeath and departure loom over Constant Companion, infusing even the smallest moments with a sense of loss and dread. And yet, Paisley's mood isn't woe-is-me dejection, but rather a stoic resignation to the fact that you're ultimately your own constant companion, for better or for worse.Inch - Stephen M Deusner, Pitchfork, January 2011.1 No One But You2 What I Saw3 Don't Make Me Wait4 End Of The Day5 Bluebird6 Always Say Goodbye7 O' Heart8 I Stand Alone9 Come Here My Love
