Marshal John Towne is tracking outlaws when he meets a lost Navajo boy. Together, they fight their way across the Arizona territory in a bid to get him home.

James Cagney plays an ex-convict who survives a lynch mob and becomes the town's sheriff in this beautifully shot western directed by the great Nicholas Ray (Johnny Guitar). After serving a six-year prison term for a crime he didn't commit he's once again wrongly accused of robbing a train with a young man (John Derek) he had befriended during his trail. The two men barely survive the trigger-happy posse who would rather shoot first and ask questions later. When word of Cagney's prowess with a gun reaches the local townsfolk, he is offered the job of sheriff. The great cast includes Viveca Lindfors as Swedish farmer's daughter who falls in love with Cagney and Ernest Borgnine as the leader of a dreaded gang of outlaws. This was Cagney's first western since 1939s the Oklahoma Kid.

From William Wyler, the legendary director of Mrs. Miniver, The Best Years of Our Lives and Ben-Hur, comes this epic western featuring an incredible cast of screen legends Gregory Peck (The Guns of Navarone), Jean Simmons (Elmer Gantry), Charlton Heston (The Ten Commandments), Carroll Baker (The Carpetbaggers) and Burl Ives (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) in his Oscar-winning performance (Best Actor in a Supporting Role). This bold, sweeping tale of a ship's captain (Peck) who ventures west to find a hotbed of jealousy, hatred and dangerous rivalries. As the reluctant hero is thrust into the maelstrom, he must summon all of his resolve to save not only his own life, but also the life of the woman he loves. The Big Country is an action-packed adventure that triumphs as a work of art. The film's legendary rousing score by Jerome Moross (The War Lord) was nominated for an Oscar. The stellar cast also includes Charles Bickford (Duel in the Sun) and Chuck Connors (TV's The Rifleman and Branded).

Looking to make a new life, Mexican-American buffalo hunter Matt Fletcher (Marlon Brando) returned to his Texas border hometown astride a magnificent Appaloosa stallion that was to be the cornerstone of his own ranch. Unfortunately, the horse caught the eye of notorious bandit Chuy Medina (John Saxon) and his gang... and Fletcher faces a perilous journey south to single-handedly reclaim what is his. Gritty effort co-stars Anjanette Comer, Emilio Fernández, Miriam Colón. 98 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Subtitles English; audio commentary; theatrical trailers.
