About This Item

Jamaican born and bred, Busta Livingstone has been making a name for himself in the South Beach section of Miami as one of the best Jamaican toasters to come through town in ages. Busta had his first singles released recently and they've been met with overwhelming acclaim. He also has been working on his first full-length album which is scheduled to drop in late August. Busta had not seen his younger, talented cousin Mickey Ruption in many years, and on a recent promotional jaunt up to Atlanta, Busta decided to chill out and have a drink at his favorite ATL joint. Although he was seated with his back to the stage, he immediately turned around when he heard the fine sounds of the vocalist and his backing band. To his great surprise he recognized his long lost relative, Mickey as the vocalist leading the proceedings. The song Mickey was singing was one he had written the day before and was working out with his band a very catchy little number that extolls the virtues of having a cool pool to jump in during the blistering summer. Busta prides himself on knowing a hit when he hears one and when Mickey came off the stage at the end of his set, he was equally surprised to see Busta grinning from ear to ear. The two caught up over a few cocktails and Busta offered to pay Mickey's plane fare to Miami if he would return with him and record the song that caught Busta's ear. Mickey agreed and back in Miami they got in the studio to record the track - with Busta's Jamaican growl juxtaposed with Mickey's smooth as silk voice, it seemed like a match made in heaven - a true family affair. A great party anthem for the summer, InchJump In The PoolInch marks the first single from Mickey Ruption and is already gaining positive advance reviews from industry insiders. A video is currently being worked on and will be available by the time the single hits the streets. InchJump In The PoolI
