About this product
Rustin Man aka Paul Webb will a new album - his second in two years - on March 20th. Having waited 17 years for Drift Code, some may be surprised at Clockdust's swift arrival, but the album's roots can be found in the same extended sessions. InchEarly on I realised I had two albums worth of material,Inch Webb explains. InchThe first tunes I wrote were electric guitar based, with long arrangements that built up in layers to something sonically quite dense. These became the bulk of Drift Code. As a reaction, I wrote a batch of songs that were tighter in their structure but had more feeling of space. These make up the bulk of Clockdust.InchIdiosyncratic and quietly haunting, Clockdust is seeped in sepia-tinted nostalgia, Incha powerful force of nature,Inch he states, Inchup there with love and desireInch. The album blurs the boundaries between past and present. Webb insists that he prefers to live in the here and now, but in looking back he's found a magical, mesmerising manner in which to forge a path forward for him, for his music, and for his audience.1. Vinyl LP pressing. Rustin Man aka Paul Webb, formerly the bass player in Talk Talk, releases his new album Drift Code via Domino. Webb has released one record under the moniker Rustin Man so far, the superb Out Of Season in 2002 - a collaboration with Beth Gibbons of Portishead. He has been working on the follow-up ever since, recording it in his home, a converted barn, in an Essex field three miles from the nearest village, an extraordinary building as much Old Curiosity Shop as modern living space. Creating that, and raising two daughters with his wife Sam, was happening alongside the making of Drift Code. Album Tracks 1. Vanishing Heart 2. Judgement Train 3. Brings Me Joy 4. Our Tomorrows 5. Euphonium Dream 1. The World's in Town 2. Light the Light 3. Martian Garden 4. All Summer
