Before going on to become a successful singer, Sacha played with such jazz giants as Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz and Lionel Hampton.

In 1958 he had an enormous hit with the song InchScoubidouInch that catapulted him to the top of the charts. In 1959 he won the InchGrand Prix de l'Academie Charles-CrosInch, and for the next three years he enjoyed one hit after another.
