While talking about the album in interview with Highsnobiety, 6Lack said InchFree 6Lack was about everything I'd been through up to that point; the follow-up is an update on what's going on in my life right now. In two years, things have gone from one side of the spectrum to another. Anything I've had to go through, or learn, has been crammed into them from being a dad, to [ending and starting] new relationships, to becoming famous and figuring out my responsibilities.Inch

Originally released in April 1996, Exploded Drawing was generally received as Polvo's White Album, the moment when the band finally kicked off it's shoes, cracked the studio windows, and unleashed a long suite of songs showcasing the band's true range. This double LP gives it all up paranoid blues rants, Delhi-via-the-Ozarks hoedowns, spaghetti western lopers, carnivalesque boogie, a blazing, frustrated finale, and as always, that guitar sound. It's just a little off, twisted, tweaked, coming at us from some pangaeic realm we still haven't located so many years later, and probably never will.

Vinyl LP pressing. In Prism is the best Polvo record even before you get to the majestic InchA Link in the Chain,Inch serene and tempestuous like few other things you'll hear. The album was recorded with Brian Paulson and Polvo has never sounded better. Polvo spent 1990 98 giving voice to a chorus of discrete rock & roll ideas that really hadn't been heard before. While there was nothing wrong before, it's now so much more right perhaps because after ten years, after other bands and and their tours and records and worries (if they had any), none of the peripheral stuff matters anymore. - Mike Wolf, NYC, 6/09
