Customer Ratings & Reviews

I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey G50D for a while now, and overall it has been an excellent experience. The QHD resolution looks sharp and clean, and the 180Hz refresh rate makes a huge difference in smoothness, especially for gaming. Fast-paced games feel very responsive, and there is no noticeable lag or stuttering when using G-Sync/FreeSync. The IPS panel delivers good colors and wide viewing angles, making it great not only for gaming but also for watching videos and everyday tasks. Setup was quick and easy, and the monitor feels solid and well built. The stand is stable and adjustments are simple. For the price, this monitor offers great performance and value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth, high-refresh-rate QHD monitor for gaming and general use.

This monitor is so crisp and has an 180 refresh rate making it fast and look so good! The mount is adjustable to make it landscape and portrait and has a good amount of up and down tilt, its just the right size for a small room. It has a resolution of 1440p making videos and games look clear and detailed. It also has a built in reticle for shooting games and an eye saver mode that turns off blue light. I love that it has a Jack port to connect a speaker! I highly recommend!

This monitor is great for the price. The display is nice and vivid as well as decent refresh rate. The stand has good range of motion for desired height/tilt. Is a tad bit wobly but other than that very capable for the price.

I picked this monitor up from Best Buy and it has been solid from the start. The picture is sharp and the colors look amazing. The QHD resolution fits the screen size well and games look smooth at 180Hz. The build quality feels sturdy and the stand is good enough for everyday use. For the price, this monitor delivers strong performance without any nonsense. It is a great value if you want a fast and reliable display for gaming.

I’ve been searching for a monitor that could keep up with both my high-performance gaming sessions and productivity needs — and the Samsung Odyssey G5 27” has exceeded every expectation. Right out of the box, the design is sleek, modern, and minimalistic — it instantly upgraded my desk setup. But the real magic happens when you power it on. The 1000R curvature is a game-changer. It wraps around your field of view in a way that feels incredibly immersive, pulling you deeper into games and making even the most mundane tasks feel cinematic. The 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time create buttery-smooth gameplay, perfect for fast-paced titles like Warzone, Apex Legends, or Valorant. Ghosting? None. Tearing? Gone. Thanks to AMD FreeSync Premium, everything stays crisp and fluid, even during the most chaotic firefights. I was equally impressed by the WQHD resolution (2560x1440) — it’s the sweet spot between 1080p and 4K, offering a sharp, vibrant display without taxing your GPU like 4K does. Colors are vivid, contrast is deep, and the VA panel does a fantastic job with dark scenes, making this a strong choice for both gaming and media consumption. For work, the extra screen real estate is a productivity booster. I can have multiple windows open side-by-side with no clutter, and text is razor-sharp. After long hours, the Eye Saver Mode and Flicker-Free technology really help reduce eye strain. My only minor complaint is the stand’s adjustability — it tilts but doesn’t swivel or offer height adjustment. However, it’s VESA-compatible, so I mounted it, and it’s now perfect. All in all, the Samsung Odyssey G5 27” is a stunning blend of performance, design, and value. Whether you’re a gamer, creator, or professional, this monitor punches far above its price point. If you're thinking about upgrading your display, this is the one. I picked mine up at Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier. Zero regrets — just pure screen bliss.

Overall a good product. The monitor has a very good display for the price, boasting a great pixel density and moderate refresh rate. The only issues I have are that the stand mount could be a bit lighter, and the button controls are a bit tedious to use.

I’ve been using this monitor for a few weeks, and I’m very impressed with the quality. The display is crisp, colors are vibrant, and the refresh rate makes everything feel smooth. Setup was quick, and the build quality feels solid and premium. It’s perfect for both productivity and streaming. Definitely a great value for the price!

This monitor is a total beast. I managed to snag an open-box deal at Best Buy for $540, and honestly, it’s worth every penny. Coming from a standard IPS, the difference is night and day—it has some real weight and build quality to it that you just don't get with cheaper panels. The picture is incredible. I saw some people suggesting maxing out the brightness, but I’ve got mine dialed in at 30 and it looks amazing. HDR can be a bit of a headache to calibrate in Windows, but once you get it sorted, the colors and contrast are top-tier. If you’re looking for a serious upgrade for your setup, this is it.

This Samsung Odyssey monitor has been an absolute game-changer for my complex hybrid setup. The core purpose of my purchase was to extend the display real estate of my Alienware Aurora 16x workstation to handle computationally intensive tasks that require simultaneously monitoring multiple local and cloud resources. Specifically, I bought this monitor to build and train my multi-agent AI system, Juskvi, developing Streamlit applications, and running local LLM simulations, which demand massive screen area for continuous data visualization, system logs, and code. The ultra-wide field of view and high refresh rate provide a seamless view of my local AI architecture and complex media encoding processes. Furthermore, this panel's color accuracy is critical for my side project—creating high-quality Plex media from my 7-drive ripping array, which processes handbrake batch encodes for my private server. It effortlessly integrates into my highly customized, multiple-screen configuration, anchoring my workspace alongside a vertical split keyboard and ergonomic mouse to keep me productive during marathon development sessions. It is the perfect blend of high-end specifications and functional versatility. I’ve attached photos of the entire workstation in action.

Everything runs smooth, this was a huge upgrade from gaming on my regular tv

This the first monitor i have ever purchased. And I'm loving it. I have it hooked up to my laptop, ps5 pro, and switch OLED. The colors arw bright, the shadows are dark, and it runs at a smooth 120hz (i don't have a PC, so 120 is all i can push). It does only have one HDMI input, so if you have multiple devices i suggest also purchasing an HDMI switch. This is better than any TV i have played on, and is a fraction of the price. For those getting it for games: it only reaches 1430p, and does NOT have VRR. But it WILL hit 1440p@120hz with zero lags, tears, or other issues.

Amazing picture and amazing refresh rate, Works wonders for gaming and a big upgrade form 1080p. Also comes with a high quality stand out the box. Would Recommend

I ordered this monitor after my small tv wouldn't turn on. Personally, I love it. It runs everything smoothly, the graphics are great, even though I have an original Xbox One that is at least 10 years old, and I can see a difference between the speed of the tv and monitor. I can only imagine what it would be like to have a newer gen console.

I bought this for my new gaming PC and it has been a joy. With gsync enabled it pairs well with the rtx 4060 that the PC came with. I have not had any issues so far and the games look flawless. For most people the 180hz 1ms QHD is a great choice especially for $209. There are other good choices out there like the LG 27” QHD 1ms 144hz monitor for $189 and the Acer 240 hz QHD .5 ms but this is a great choice also. I wanted to stay around the $200 price range so this deal was hard to beat. The packaging was well done and the build is sturdy and professional looking. I don’t think you will be disappointed if you get this Monitor.

This monitor has everything I need. The resolution as well as the refresh rate. The games feel much smoother and there is a lot of space to work with. Highly recommend !

This samsung odyssey gaming monitor checks every box you could ask for a 2k gaming monitor. ✅ Affordable ✅ fast response time ✅ IPS panel that is bright and super vibrant ✅ adjustable stand and mountable If your debating between this and another, you cannot go wrong with this one!

Amazing monitor; the refresh rate is great, very very little IPS glow, a lot less than you’d expect from most IPS monitors, phenomenal. The colors are great. Obviously the blacks aren’t gonna be black. It is an IPS monitor after all. Highly recommend. Great budget monitor for 1440 gaming feels premium.

I brought this monitor a few months ago and it has lasted me a while now the screen offers great picture although I had a issue of the screen flickering the solution was just updating the firmware using a usb drive so make sure you have one of those handy

Moved my Xbox series X from my living room to my room, and my 32in tv wasn’t cutting it for me. This monitor was a huge upgrade. 1080p looks great at this size, sharp image and gameplay looks and feels very smooth a responsive.
