I really wanted to like this monitor, but in the end, I returned it. First off, I'm a Samsung TV fanboy; we have a lot of them around the house. My 2014 Samsung 32" FHD home-office TV started acting up, with a frame rate of 5 seconds per frame and noticeable ghosting. Given the limited space and home-office layout, I was stuck with a 32" screen, which narrowed my options. I only watch streaming services, and use a Fire TV Stick on 2014 TV I saw this on sale, and being a 4 K smart monitor, I thought this would be a great option. It arrived the next day, very light and easy to mount. This only had Wifi and no LAN option, but I was ok with that. The setup was pretty straightforward, except for one thing: you are forced to enter a PIN. I'm the only one who uses the TV, and I wanted to skip, but it won't let me. The TV is crisp, sharp, and responsive; however, two things that I didn't like were passable, but not for me. The sound is thin and weak, with hardly any bass, and it sounds like it's coming from a tin can. Easy fix, add a sound bar. This would not be an issue using it as a monitor, as the sound would come from the computer, but in smart TV mode, it lacked any substance. I didn't want to pay extra for a soundbar, mainly because it's more about the office layout than anything else. Secondly, although the picture was 4k, it had a muted look; the colors were saturated but in this odd muted way. Imagine a modern-day spy thriller set in Cold War Russia, a crisp, sharp, saturated picture, but sort of pastel muted. It's a great monitor, but for my needs, I wanted something better. I ended up returning and replacing it with the Samsung 32" Q8F. 200 more, but worth it for me, much better sound and much better screen

Short version: For anyone that doesn't mind the Samsung account and will not be using the monitor in a dual display situation, it is a nice monitor with its 4K resolution. Recommended for that situation. Full review: This monitor was not what I had hoped. My application was for a second monitor in an amateur (ham) radio station. The monitor exhibited behaviors that I have never seen in 25 years of corporate IT work. It kept me from moving windows around as I wanted and kept bringing pop-up screens that are part of the ham radio software back to it even though I continually moved them to the desired location before closing. The setup was intrusive, requiring a Samsung account that allows Samsung to see all Internet use of the monitor and its apps. It is recommended to plug a keyboard and mouse into the monitor for setup. Leaving a mouse connected makes operation easier. I already have three mice on my desktop for the radio and two other computers, so I did not want a fourth one. Essentially, the account is spyware. I could not make the brightness, color balance and contrast come close to matching that of my other name brand monitor. I would only use it in a dual monitor setup if both monitors were this model.
