A: Yes! I have a Samsung tv so it connected automatically. If you look at page 20 in the manual, it shows you how to set it up to work with a non Samsung tv.
Q: How good is this soundbar for just watching movies and TV Shows? And what mode do you use?
A: We are very impressed with the audio quality, bass & stereo effects using this soundbar & sub-woofer. We didn't really believe the holes in the top would perform as well as advertised and are very happy to learn that they do. We have the audio set for normal television viewing so no special music or theatrics and we can hear whispers, footsteps and explosions very well. The dog gets a little freaked out sometimes so she's not quite as happy with the acoustics.
A: No, this system does not work with Amazon Alexa voice commands. Yes it does have presets to choose from.
A: The sound bar only comes with the subwoofer, and does not require any other purchase with the receiver. We love this soundbar
Q: How many speakers are in this soundbar
A: It's a 3 way speaker with 28 ports
A: The soundbar has 4K HDMI passthrough so you can run the HDMI cable to the soundbar then to the TV. Or, you can run the HDMI directly to the tv then run the optical cable (included) from the tv to the soundbar. You cannot sit the tv on the soundbar. You can place the soundbar on the stand in front of the tv. Or, you can mount it on the wall with the provided hardware.
Q: Does it come fm, am etc receiver? I mean does it have radio channels on it?
A: No, this item does not have a radio tuner.
A: Answering my own question for others to know. Roku doesn’t pass 5.1 no matter how you hook it up. I bought Firestick and that works perfect and passes 5.1 on Netflix. If you want to cut cable cord and use this sound bar you have to get Firestick.
