My first sound bar and first Samsung product. I seen it on sale and figured I give it a try. While at checkout the cashier said it rang up to around $500. I disputed the price and at which time it was discovered that someone forgot to remove the sale price sign because it was supposed to be a 24 hour sale the day prior. So long story short I bought the system for half price. WINNING! Overall I like the system. I like that you can enhance the system and add rear speakers. I don’t like the remote control because it feels cheap. Performance wise it does what it’s supposed to do just wanted a better quality remote material wise. You can adjust treble & bass but I wish you can adjust the treble more because dialogue gets muffled when background music is played during a movie (I.e. Mission Impossible - Fallout) If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know! But it’s a great system for a normal sized living room and I’m happy with it!

This thing is amazing. Sound is great, bass is great. Can't get over how happy I am with this. I bought the rear speakers to go with this and it makes it even better. Easy set up, synced fine even with a LG tv. Plus comes with a wall mount!

I have to preface this by saying I just got this hooked up tonight, but I’ve tried just about every option in one night. I was torn between this and the 650 sound plus option (without subwoofer ), whom the in store associate was nudging me towards, and am glad I grabbed this little gem. The in store demo does not do this model proper respect. I’m glad at this point in time I went with this model. It’s been impressing me as about every 30min goes by Having just got a new Samsung tv, this unit paired and was ready to go before I even sat down to try it. The “one remote” instantly was ready to adjust settings, and I adjusted to eq to my preferences. After 15min I put on The Grand Tour as I thought this felt an appropriate show to truly see how this baby performed...and performed it has. The directional sound is amazing. Sitting outside my house with the window open and sound cranked up, it was less noises to my neighbors than my previous TVs built in speakers. But walk inside, it’s like you were standing in the sound stage getting immersed in the sound the program intended. I have to add, the HDMI passed through to HDR no problem. The sub woofer kicked in at all the right moments, and the 8 speaker “virtual surround” works beautifully. I heard the HyperCars engines seamlessly drive left to right so intensely it made me feel like I was in the driver seat. There’s always something better, but for the price point, idk I could recommend anything better than what I’m hearing right now. Just for fun, I tried the game mode, seamlessly switching to the PS4 and you can genuinely hear where every shot and step is heard in real time playing COD which I felt gave a true advantage. I personally love this sound bar, I do intend on revising good or bad after another month or two of using, but I’m in love with this setup, if you have a. Newer Samsung tv, get this and don’t hesitate. You will not regret it Just as a note. I set up the subwoofer next to the couch, zero connectivity issues and it sounds amazing.

I choose this sound bar,becuse one of the employees (Sam) he help me to decide, over a receiver, of course I live in at apartment, but still its loud and just placed on the wall, below the tv, the sound it's awesome, just perfect and buying on black Friday its was pretty good, it's wireless and connect my tv true Bluetooth, and listen music true my cell, its incredible and esy to set up.

I was buying a 75 inch Samsung TV and salesman showed me this sound bar was not really looking for one but after listening to it in the store it went home with me. Easy hook up great sounds the bluetooth is so easy to do with ur phone. I will be buying another one for the bedroom

We've had audio component systems up to 7.1 channels and of course great sound. Over the years I've lost considerable hearing and gave our last system to one of our children to enjoy. I've read about, and listened to sound bars and was never quite assured about how one would produce, especially with our new 55" curve 4k Samsung TV. Took the plunge and purchased a Samsung 44" wide bar system and WOW!, surely am pleased with it and it's associated woofer. Frankly, I was amazed !

Provides better sound quality than the Bose system it replaced!

This plays wonderful Sound throughout my Media Room.

Not sure how I watched movies for so long without this.

======= Summary ======= The Samsung HW-N650 is an incredibly good and superb soundbar system. It blew me away with its awesome sound in all scenarios tested - music, movies, and gaming. Dialogue is clear, the soundstage and dynamic range are excellent, and the bass is thunderous. Setup is super easy and bluetooth works very well and reliably. It's a Win from Samsung. ======= Design & Connectivity Options ======= For a soundbar system, the Samsung HW-N650 is kind of unique with its wedge-shaped design as opposed to the standard long rectangular design found in most other soundbars. It is cool-looking and it will nicely blend in to any home TV or theater setup. Wall-mount brackets and screws are included. I placed the soundbar underneath my desk against the wall but off the floor and I experienced no issues enjoying the full soundstage. Underneath the top casing, there is another unique and interesting feature - a long tube with 50 holes in it - that delivers Samsung's new "Acoustic Beam" sound technology. Its purpose is to make left-to-right sound effects - especially during gaming - more immersive, seamless, and accurate. I found Samsung's claim to be spot on as I will touch on more in the 'Performance' section of my review. The sound hardware is beefy and satisfying with its 8 speakers with dedicated amps (6x 30W + 2x 10W) and the 160W subwoofer. Both Dolby and DTS formats are supported. As for connectivity options, there are many - Digital Audio In (Optical), AUX, HDMI, HDMI ARC, and Bluetooth. Only an optical cable is provided in the box. My preferred connection method was Bluetooth and pairing it up with my gaming desktop system was simple, fast, and easy. I never experienced any laggy or lost sound connections. Rock solid and reliable was the sound. It would've been even nicer if a Wifi option was also offered. The remote control - which looks very similar to my Samsung TV's remote - offer easy Source selection and audio control. It is comfortable to hold and use with well spaced-out buttons, good button feedback, and quick response times. All the way on the right-side of the soundbar is an LED area that displays info such as Volume Level, Source type, Sound Profile Mode, and Power status. It is easy to read and the LEDs are nice and bright. They are not included in the box but one can add the SWA-8500S rear wireless speakers to further increase the soundstage for a more immersive surround sound experience. I'm planning on getting those in the near future. To sum it all up, everything is good and well-designed - the hardware, the connectivity options and setup process, the remote control, and system stability. ======= Performance ======= The HW-N650 blew me away with its incredible sound. Audio is full and deep, soundstage is wide and excellent, and all the subtle background and extra sound details and textures could be heard that I never noticed before on my other sound systems (5.1 Polk soundbar in my living room and my Edifier Luna Eclipse stereo speakers I previously used as my main gaming speakers). Using the remote, one can toggle between three preset audio profiles - Standard, Surround, and Game. In addition, Treble and Bass can be set between -6 to +6. When testing for movie performance, I watched some Lord of the Ring movies and the sound was fantastic and the dialogue very clear and easy to make out. Music playback was another very strong point for the HW-N650. From pop, hip-hop, rock, alternative, to vocals, the soundbar handled everything thrown at it very, very well. Different sound layers are well-separated and delivered with great fidelity and quality. And that bass - such thunderous and hard-hitting bass~! And it's so clean, hard, and punchy. It's absolutely fantastic! For gaming, I played some oldies but goodies such as Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Again, sound was fantastic and my gaming experience was definitely enhanced. Samsung's Acoustic Beam technology shined especially well in Fallout 4 which is a First-Person Shooter type of game where action is fast and you're under fire from multiple enemies from many different directions. The soundbar made it easier to pinpoint enemy locations and their directions of fire. Truly, this is the way games should be played. ======= So, is it any good? ======= Yes, it's fantastic~! I've personally gone through 3 different soundbars in the $250 to $500 price range and the Samsung HW-N650 is the best-performing soundbar I've experienced. It's well-designed & well-made with unique and standout quality hardware mated with superb audio quality. It's Quality hardware & audio tuning from Samsung.

The Samsung HW-N650 is almost perfect, providing an expansive ‘panoramic’ experience packaged into a sound bar. Audio wise it sounds great, which it should for the price point. Out of the box sound was a little ‘thin’ compared to my Polk sound bar but fortunately the treble and bass are adjustable along with subwoofer volume. After tweaking the levels the sound bar provided fantastic audio and presence. The 8 speaker array does a great job of filling the room where as Samsung’s acoustic beaming provides the surround sound experience of a full home theater setup. Sounds and dialog are surprisingly directional considering it is all coming from just a sound bar. The N650 features 3 DSP modes (Surround, Game, and Standard) allowing you to further adjust the sound. 'Surround' seems to optimize the acoustic beaming (ports on top of the sound bar), 'Game' reduces sound lag and provides greater bass response, and 'Standard' appears to reduce the signal processing providing a flatter frequency response. I am not usually a fan of DSPs but I have found I prefer the optimized surround and game modes on the N650. My only gripe is the size. At over 43 inches long, it was longer then the legs of my 55” TV limiting how far back I could place it in front of the TV. In my case I preferred the look of the N650 behind the TV as opposed to being a foot out in front of the TV. If your TV is wall mounted this will be a non issue, Samsung even provides hardware to wall mount the sound bar if desired. Gamers and non-gamers alike will be impressed with the sound quality of the N650, provided you have the space for it.

I bought this sound bar for my living room main tv. Replaced a Pioneer receiver with Polk satellite surround sound speaker system for simplicity and bluetooth connectivity. Used the HDMI through the ARC return on the tv and am happy with the setup. Bass is solid and adjustable. Tweaked the settings for my living room environment. Sound quality is what I expected, nothing spectacular but above average and plenty good for my need. Bought on sale for $399 then got the price match two weeks later to the $279 sale price for pre Black Friday, very pleased with that. Love to just be able to quick connect via bluetooth and play my music from my phone, no hassle. Haven't gotten the surround sound speakers as yet, not sure I even will. Also have an NA-450 also purchased from Bestbuy and very happy with that as well in my office/bedroom.

I truly looked forward to Samsung's new HW-N650ZA sound bar and wireless subwoofer combination in hopes there was some improvement to the sound that might set them aside from the competition. The soundbar itself was fairly long and low profile; I assume that was to perhaps to match up to their TV size however I wanted it for gaming purposes, as advertised, and planned on setting it up with a extended gaming monitor. That clearly didn't work out as planned because the sound bar was nearly as long as my desk itself so I went to plan B which was setting it up in my theater room where I had another wireless sound bar and subwoofer below a 120" projector screen. The Samsung sound bar was nearly a foot longer that the other one I had in that room and took up way more space than I had anticipated but it still worked out because of it's low profile. The sound bar and wireless sub were easy to set up and sync to a media stick via Bluetooth. The sound performance and changes while switching through the few sound options via the remote provided weren't too impressive but perhaps that was their goal for an entry level person looking to add more sound to their TV. The sound bar as an all-in-one does a fair job producing 5.1 sound and the sound and dialog clarity was actually crisp and clear. However, if you're a sound snob like myself and used to the receiver/amplifier and separate 5.1+ speaker set up, you're going to be disappointed in it's power. It's the wireless subwoofer that was really the most disappointing aspect of the set up; even increasing the sub to it's max +6 setting, the bass was pathetic. Ultimately I reverted back to my previous sound bar set up because of the disappointing power. I do like the option to add/sync wireless rear speakers to the set up but still don't think that with those it would change my rating and would suggest shopping for alternatives, even at a cheaper price, that provide more power and better, deeper sound. One of the improvements I noticed in the soundbar was the way it was able to provide directional sound using the directional holes in the sound bar to disperse the sound along with the bar itself being so long. This actually worked pretty well for gaming and you could make a directional distinction on where something was coming from, unfortunately it didn't work with my computer gaming set up but I could see it being a great entry level option for gamers using a standard widescreen 55"+ TV.

Easy to set up and paired with my Samsung TV right away. Sound quality is excellent. Fortunately, this does not produce big booming bass sounds which I detest. This system performs excellent in my large living room. I love that you can also use Bluetooth from your phone to the sound bar. At this price point I’m definitely impressed with the range of sound and connection options. This was a great buy.

The sound quality to me is certainly worth the money. It could be a little better, but for this price I did not find a better option. The wireless sub is an awesome feature to have. Setup was only a few minutes. I noticed some complaints about Bluetooth sound levels. I found that you just need to use the included remote to turn the volume up.

This sound bar comes in at a price point far below the competition but does not disappoint. Surround sound is amazing, bass is amazing. Paired with a nice tv this set up will eliminate your need to ever go to the movie theater again. Highly recommend!!!

I have this set up in my medium sized living room connected to a Samsung TV. The sound bar gives great clear sound and the bass is a good compliment. It was easy to setup. The only thing that would be better is two rear speakers which I think I can add in later.

Great sound bar with 5.1 and subwoofer. Independently you regulate the and increase the wireless subwoofer from -6 to +6. Gives you the rumble in the movies or on your Xbox. Love the features and looks. Nice pair with my 65 inch TV.

The audio on this sound bar is awesome! Setup is quick and easy especially if you own a Samsung tv. It’ll automatically connect with the tv over Bluetooth. The bass from the sub is good and the center channel does a great job of making the voices in movies easier to hear. The panoramic sound is so good too. It does a good job of making movies sound like you have a surround system. If you really wanna experience what this sound bar has to offer play a Xbox one or ps4 game with this connected to your tv! You won’t be disappointed I promise. It may be a little on the pricey side but I guarantee it’s worth every penny. I have this sound bar connected to a Samsung qled tv and the picture and sound blew me away. Very satisfied with my purchase
