Really fine TV with some minor gripes.
The Samsung - 50" Class - LED - NU6900 flat screen TV turns out to be pretty fabulous -- and leaves me wondering why it couldn't have been just totally fabulous. Actually it is, once it's in place and being used, but there are a few minor caveats that might not bother an experienced do-it-yourselfer. Pros: Lovely, lightweight, slim and with an incredibly clean and clear picture that is at times disorienting, it's so good. Cons: All nit-picky: First, the manual is terrible. We replaced a 10 year-old Samsung flat screen 40" screen (that weighed a ton) with this, and the old set had a very good manual. Same thing holds true for the new TV's throw-away remote (and once you've programmed your universal one this won't matter at all). Finally, the VESA wall mounting, which was a new and weird problem. The old set's brackets wouldn't fit the back of the new set. The holes were in the right place, but they allow no height adjustment, and the back of the TV is curved, which poses problems even for the new mounting hardware we bought. Still, in the end it's up there, the universal remote is programmed, the view is incredibly good, the remote is in a drawer somewhere and the manual went in the trash because it is useless. Suggestion: Consider having Geek Squad install the thing on a wall for you. Another suggestion: This one is worth the aggravation. A stellar performer at a great price (half what the old one cost a decade ago). Go for it!

High-end entertainment center for low-end price???
Lightweight and pleasing aesthetic. The Samsung TV plus that comes with it is a really nice way to simulate cable in the age of streaming, just turn on the tv and you’ve got a thousand or so channels including old school Nickelodeon and early 2000’s MTV. So if you’re like me and want to just quickly turn on the tv for noise while you cook or whatever you’ll love that. The ability to install Apple apps and use airplay is a huge bonus. Arc HDMI included allows you to turn on the tv by turning on your Xbox or PlayStation or what have you. Always nice. The picture quality is way better than the price should allow but I’ve found it does that BS dynamic lighting thing where it tries to brighten or darken the screen depending on the scene. I hate that. I haven’t found one of the picture modes that turns this off but it may be possible. The HDR is kind of.. lack luster. I think maybe due to the low number of local dimming zones. Not really that important as this likely won’t be anyone’s theatre setup. I have noticed a good amount of ghosting playing games with Nintendo switch but I’m thinking that may have been because of the Spyro trilogy remaster being poorly optimized. Haven’t seen any ghosting in Mario galaxy or rocket league. The built in audio is actually pretty good too (for the price). Things to keep in mind: The remote does not light up. The only ports on the tv are an hdmi, arc hdmi, optical audio, and an Ethernet. So if you’re looking to complete your entertainment center.. maybe look further. Also, all the ports on the back are in a really stupid orientation that forces you to take the whole unit off the wall if it’s mounted. Maybe get everything plugged in ahead of time lol. Initial setup looks like it was meant to be seamless, but it did take me like an hour or two to fully set up including logging into all of my streaming apps etc. There is an app associated with it that’s meant to let you control it with your phone but from what I can tell I can only turn it off? There isn’t like a remote control feature with it so I’m still unclear why I would want this app. Maybe great for someone with a lot of Samsung home devices. All things said and done, for the price range- this is an excellent choice.

Great TV for a great price!
The whole experience of buying this TV was great! This TV is very user intuitive and easy to setup. The picture is beautiful (even when using an antenna!). The 50” is perfect for me and my television needs!! The sales floor associate was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful from when they first approached me, to when they loaded the TV up into the car. Best Buy is the store I choose for all of my electronics needs.

Love it.
Love the TV. Great picture. Perfect size . Bought it on sale when my Sharp finally gave out. The the Smart TV part of it is great. Netflix and etc. A lot easer than having go through the CD player all the time.

I really enjoy that clarity of the picture I get , I didn't realize how my old tv was failing. I appreciate the sound improvement and the easy set up too.
