The Samsung - 50" Class - LED - NU6900 flat screen TV turns out to be pretty fabulous -- and leaves me wondering why it couldn't have been just totally fabulous. Actually it is, once it's in place and being used, but there are a few minor caveats that might not bother an experienced do-it-yourselfer. Pros: Lovely, lightweight, slim and with an incredibly clean and clear picture that is at times disorienting, it's so good. Cons: All nit-picky: First, the manual is terrible. We replaced a 10 year-old Samsung flat screen 40" screen (that weighed a ton) with this, and the old set had a very good manual. Same thing holds true for the new TV's throw-away remote (and once you've programmed your universal one this won't matter at all). Finally, the VESA wall mounting, which was a new and weird problem. The old set's brackets wouldn't fit the back of the new set. The holes were in the right place, but they allow no height adjustment, and the back of the TV is curved, which poses problems even for the new mounting hardware we bought. Still, in the end it's up there, the universal remote is programmed, the view is incredibly good, the remote is in a drawer somewhere and the manual went in the trash because it is useless. Suggestion: Consider having Geek Squad install the thing on a wall for you. Another suggestion: This one is worth the aggravation. A stellar performer at a great price (half what the old one cost a decade ago). Go for it!

Lightweight and pleasing aesthetic. The Samsung TV plus that comes with it is a really nice way to simulate cable in the age of streaming, just turn on the tv and you’ve got a thousand or so channels including old school Nickelodeon and early 2000’s MTV. So if you’re like me and want to just quickly turn on the tv for noise while you cook or whatever you’ll love that. The ability to install Apple apps and use airplay is a huge bonus. Arc HDMI included allows you to turn on the tv by turning on your Xbox or PlayStation or what have you. Always nice. The picture quality is way better than the price should allow but I’ve found it does that BS dynamic lighting thing where it tries to brighten or darken the screen depending on the scene. I hate that. I haven’t found one of the picture modes that turns this off but it may be possible. The HDR is kind of.. lack luster. I think maybe due to the low number of local dimming zones. Not really that important as this likely won’t be anyone’s theatre setup. I have noticed a good amount of ghosting playing games with Nintendo switch but I’m thinking that may have been because of the Spyro trilogy remaster being poorly optimized. Haven’t seen any ghosting in Mario galaxy or rocket league. The built in audio is actually pretty good too (for the price). Things to keep in mind: The remote does not light up. The only ports on the tv are an hdmi, arc hdmi, optical audio, and an Ethernet. So if you’re looking to complete your entertainment center.. maybe look further. Also, all the ports on the back are in a really stupid orientation that forces you to take the whole unit off the wall if it’s mounted. Maybe get everything plugged in ahead of time lol. Initial setup looks like it was meant to be seamless, but it did take me like an hour or two to fully set up including logging into all of my streaming apps etc. There is an app associated with it that’s meant to let you control it with your phone but from what I can tell I can only turn it off? There isn’t like a remote control feature with it so I’m still unclear why I would want this app. Maybe great for someone with a lot of Samsung home devices. All things said and done, for the price range- this is an excellent choice.

The whole experience of buying this TV was great! This TV is very user intuitive and easy to setup. The picture is beautiful (even when using an antenna!). The 50” is perfect for me and my television needs!! The sales floor associate was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful from when they first approached me, to when they loaded the TV up into the car. Best Buy is the store I choose for all of my electronics needs.

Love the TV. Great picture. Perfect size . Bought it on sale when my Sharp finally gave out. The the Smart TV part of it is great. Netflix and etc. A lot easer than having go through the CD player all the time.

Very good picture for under $300. Channel guide not as easy to navigate as older Samsung tv was. Can't see scheduled programs list like old TV. Optical audio out; settings, sound, expert settings,DIGITAL OUTPUT AUDIO-PCM (for it to work). 50" overpowers bedroom in one bedroom apartment. Picture reproduces transmission level/quality,if excellent picture will be great, if poor picture will be poor. Warnings about fragility/breaking and gripping screen during unpacking/handling come from BB and set info, two people is strongly advised, 30 pounds, wide and fragile is not good for one person. Although, I am senior citizen and did it safely by myself, I have TV sales/unpacking experience from the 1970s that I had to recall. Also, my bed that I slid the TV out of its box onto is 3 feet from the dresser that I put the TV on, so I didn't have to pull it up out of the box or carry it but3 feet, otherwise I recommend 2 people.

After our living room tv quit unexpectedly around Christmastime, we needed to purchase a new tv immediately. After a quick online search, we found this TV, the price was excellent and it was in stock. The picture quality is excellent, the Smart features are easy to use, and it’s the perfect size for our small living room.

This TV has exceeded my expectations, especially considering how low the price was. The picture quality is excellent, visibility is good from most angles, and it is the perfect TV for a decent sized master bedroom. The only drawback so far was that I had to go to the hardware store for longer bolts (M8-40 and M8-50) in order to mount it on the wall. The standard bolts (M8-35) that come with most wall mounts are too short to overcome the curved back plate of the unit.

Clear picture is unbelievable great to watch all the games, apps are convenient and is a great use it’s not just a normal tv. easy install and very light weight. We have 2 mounted to the wall next to each other and they fit perfect.

Bruh I haven’t left my room since I bought this tv. Def gained 20lbs. It’s got all the apps and stuff so I don’t even need to use my Apple TV anymore. Only app it don’t have is Crunchyroll but it’s all Gucci tho.
I was looking for a tv for my room with great image quality and significant size(50" or more) and this done the job perfectly, you get a pretty big size tv for your room and really good image quality, it has everything a top series TV would have.. Just don't expect the best of the best!!

This is a nice entry-level Samsung TV with good features and a decent picture. Picture quality and color saturation diminishes when viewed at an angle, but still quite clear. Be aware that this has a curved back, so if you are mounting this with any type of wall mount, you will have to make adjustments to accommodate the variation between top and bottom.

I usually always buy Sony for a TV. However, the price of Sony nowadays is very high and unaffordable for average middle working class like us. I tried Samsung brand instead. Samsung TV didn't disappoint. Although lesser quality than Sony, but almost close for a lesser price than Sony. So far too many features that we're enjoying right now. The additional channels built in on Samsung bring a Smart TV is excellent. We stopped subscribing to Cable TV and so far we are satisfied with just using the indoor antennae and a Roku Ultra 4K streaming machine. Were planning to buy new 43" Samsung Smart 4K for the bedrooms, replacing the existing TVs we have right now.

TV looks and sounds amazing! So thin and light and energy efficient. Samsung requires longer bolts than standard to wall mount, but they are only 75 cents each at the hardware store

I bought 2 of these TV's during early access black Friday sale. I Spent $329 on each of them. These TV's were purchased to help create a "TV Wall", I have bought multiple Samsung TV's over the years. Most recent purchases were 65ks8000,75mu8000. These 6900 TV's were mostly for secondary purposes as they are mounted next to the "75. Mainly used for sports watching. You can clearly tell the 8000 model has a better overall picture quality but these 6900 serve my purposes just fine. One thing I noticed on BBY website is the image from the side angle shows a much "thicker" profile then the TV itself the depth without stand is the same as the 7100 model and is slim compared the image on the website.

This is an excellent tv for a great price. I bought 2 at the same time in order to put one in each kids room. They love them! Great picture quality, smart tv, thin (not super thin) and quick response to remote commands.

No complaints here. The picture quality is great. The smart tv features and menu are clear and easy to navigate without any hiccups. Bought a Sony 49” also for $200 more and I actually like this tv more.

After having a Sony 33” for over a decade, I finally decided to upgrade to a much bigger tv with better qualities all around. The Samsung 50” has been an incredible purchase, the sound is amazing, the picture is crystal clear. Completely happy with my purchase and happy with my 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan.

I bought 2 for my kids rooms. It was their Christmas presents and they were super excited. I mounted them on the wall and they look great. The picture and sound quality is really good. The price is very reasonable. This model only has 2 HDMI ports, so if you’re looking for more HDMI ports, you will be paying more. I’ve bought Samsung brand TV’s in the past and have always had good results. Overall, completely satisfied with this purchase.
