I have owned this TV for a month now. With it being higher priced, I wanted to see this in person, but it was not on display in any BestBuy's near me. I did a lot of research before I made the purchase and decided on this 8K Tv over the Samsung OLED S95F that was on display at my local BestBuy. I decided on the 8K tv over the 4K OLED because I was trying to future proof my next TV with the 8K resolution. Here are the reasons I decided to go with the more expensive flagship TV over Samsung’s S95F OLED. • Gaming - The main reason I bought this TV was for gaming. I have a PS5 pro which can output to 8K on select games. I am hoping that game list grows over the next few years until the PS6 comes out, but I am impressed with the upconverting of non 8k games. Gaming on this TV is amazing and worth the investment to any gamer. The Samsung game bar adjustments allow the settings to be optimized to best fit your gaming needs including a specific type of game like first person shooter or RPG. This TV is capable of 8K at 120 hz even though the PS5 pro only outputs up to 8K at 60 hz. Even at 8k 60 hz, the quality is so much better than 4K at 60 hz. If you have a high-end gaming PC, this TV supports 4K at 240 hz. This TV also has Auto Low Latency Mode, VRR and HDR10+. • Gen 3 AI processor - While there isn't a lot of native 8K content in 2025, this tv claimed to upconvert SD, HD and 4K to near 8K quality using the latest AI processor which wasn’t available in the S95F OLED. I have 2gb internet speed and can stream 8k from YouTube. While the tv doesn’t upconvert to the same quality as native 8k, it does a great job of upconverting to better than 4K quality. The picture clarity is amazing and the customizable display settings using the AI processor allow you to adjust to a perfect picture in your room. While the black levels might not meet the same technical specs as the OLED, you will not be disappointed. This TV offers amazing color, brightness, and black levels. • Anti-glare screen - I know a lot of people complain about anti-glare matte screens, but I think it does a great job. I had a glare on my previous tv from the ceiling fan light in this room. With this anti-glare matte screen on the QN990F, I can keep the light on to watch tv and not be bothered by a glare. I think the picture quality is still amazing even with this anti-glare screen. If you have a room with a lot of natural or artificial lighting, this TV is a great choice for you. • Wireless one-connect box. I have been running my PS5 pro though this one-connect box and have not experienced any lag while I have been gaming including playing call of duty online. This is a great option for those who will be wall mounting their tv and do not want to see wires up their wall from the entertainment center below. The Wireless one-connect box has (4) HDMI 2.1 ports, so you don’t have to choose between which device gets the 2.1 port like many other TVs. If you are concerned about lag while gaming, there is a mini-HDMI 2.1 port on the rear of the tv if you prefer to hardwire directly, but like I said, I have not experienced any lagging. While there is an ethernet port on the wireless one-connect box that allows up to 100 mbps this TV also connects to Wi-Fi 6 which will allow close to 1000 mbps to help with 8K streaming. • Q-symphony – While the 12 tv speakers are above average for tv speakers, I paired this TV with a Samsung HW-Q990D/ZA surround sound system. The Q-symphony feature allows the tv speakers to work with the surround sound system, so I have a total of 34 speakers between the tv, sound bar, rear speakers, and subwoofer. The sound quality is excellent with this feature and really shows what Dolby Atmos can do to improve a move or gaming experience. The TV also has an adaptive sound pro feature, the adjusts to the genre of show you are watching. • The Tizen operating system works well, and I find myself using this system over my Amazon Fire Stick If I could give any cons, I would say the first would be the price since this is not a cheap TV. The second would be the live translation that is advertised. The TV only translates broadcasts with closed captioning provided through the antenna input. Since I stream my TV, I cannot use the live translate feature. The third would be the monthly subscription fee for the Art Store if you want to display works of art on your TV when it is turned off. While it’s not much, this feature isn’t worth $5 a month to me. If you can get over the high price of this TV, I would highly recommend it to you. This TV is by far the best TV I have ever owned and I am happy with my choice over another great TV in the Samsung S95F OLED. I look forward to more broadcasts in 8K and hopefully full 8K gaming in the future. Again if you’re a gamer, get this TV, you won’t be disappointed.
