Good TV overall compared to other brands but I can see the backlight popping out near the corners of the screen when I’m watching a dark scene in a movie/show but I do love the tv. I might have to upgrade in a year or so to a OLED

I wanted to love this TV, but I can't.

I've gone through three of the 85" Q70D's. Each time I received one, as soon as they're in use I get an odd glow or clound primarily around the edges. It's as if the back lights are not evenly lighting the panels. It's really obvious on the screen when the background is solid black. By the third one I received it was obvious it wasn't a fluke. Best buy staff was top notch on ensuring I was taken care of, but this TV isn't worth the price tag.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your Q70D TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings > Intelligent Mode.

Great TV Choice, Great picture and great for bright rooms. It is heavy and large so make sure to have two people to lift or you won't be able to.

Great picture, bright colors. Smart search could be better it doesn't always find the results even when I know the title is on one streaming service. Sound could be better for the built in TV speakers. I purchased a soundbar to go with it. Overall good tv. Would recommend

Worth every penny. I am not even going to lie, this was a purchase that I hesitated on for the life of me. But am so glad that I actually went ahead and got it for myself. For my bedroom nonetheless lol!!! Everytime I have a friend, coworker, family member see it, the reactions always WOW, and the picture definitley shows for it. I love watching the highest quality videos I can find. The detail is just wonderful

We love our new Samsung 85" TV. We bought it specifically to have better viewing of the Soccer Club World Cup competition, and the Women's Soccer Euro Cup. The clarity was excellent at this price point.
