Samsung ssd with heat sink for PS5
Works excellent. Cannot even tell it’s in there. Recently purchased a PS5 and bought games on a Black Friday sale. I knew I didn’t have enough storage so I did my research and the Samsung was the obvious choice. While shopping in Best Buy around Thanksgiving in Snellville , GA they had a PlayStation rep who was there answering questions to anyone that wanted to know stuff. I have had a PlayStation 4 for a long time and a little late to the party for the ps5. But the rep answered all my questions because I’m all honesty I didn’t know how the storage worked vs the ps4. Everyone was awesome. I always use Best Buy for my electronics and other needs. I had just bought my wife some air tags back in September for her birthday. Long story short it’s like Christmas for me and I’m pushing 50. Haha

Best M.2 ever!
I'm thrilled with the 990 EVO Pro 4TB M.2 - it's truly an impressive piece of hardware. Faced with the dilemma of choosing between slow-loading games with ample storage or a faster, smoother gaming experience with fewer games, this SSD provided the perfect solution. The 990 EVO Pro strikes an ideal balance, enabling me to have over 100 games simultaneously. I also re-installed Windows, to ensure my PC operates seamlessly and at a rapid pace. Now booting up takes less than a second, and I no longer fret about restarting my PC for updates or downloads. While it's on the pricey side, I see it as an investment in saving time. Now, there are no more pesky loading screens or the hassle of deleting games to make room. With read and write speeds that are 10x faster, all my games download swiftly, fully maximizing my Fiber Internet speed. As a reference point, I downloaded GTA 5 in just 10 minutes with my 1 Gig speed!

Quirky but worth it see the notes
Bought for use in PS5. Initially PS5 wants you to format, and when done the first time it read much slower than advertised. Formatted second time, and the speeds registered much closer to advertised. Note 1) does NOT come with mounting screw. So don’t be me and have a new toy you can’t install for a day. Note 2) if using for the PS5, plan on using the PS app to install your game library. COD for instance, will absolutely not install from the console and store again. Suggestion: use the app, and start your installs before bed if you have a huge library. Worked perfectly after that. Fit my entire library and no more failed updates “insufficient space for update”. No lag for load times etc. Would buy again.
