A: It "stays" in the case by magnets...and not very well. I returned mine to Best Buy or a refund because my S3 had fallen out twice just within hours of purchasing.
Q: Does this case carry the S pen as well as the tablet?
A: No it does not. But you can clip it on the spine and it holds it really well.
Q: Does this cover have a hand strap?
A: No it doesn't.
