This is a great upgrade from the Tab 4.0. i like that Samsung removed the chrome from the perimeter, placed the usb slot on the top, and improved the processor. The major disappointments that I have with the tablet is 1) making it only an 8GB model (although you can increase it to 200 GB with a microsd card), and 2) lack of accessories. Samsung has provided nice folio covers for the 8.0 and 10.0 models BUT NOT THE 7.0. What gives? they have the case with the multiple folding cover but other than that, you have to go with a third party...and those are few! Make more cases for this! Good size compared to the iPad Mini 2 and the Amazon fire HD 7 (2014 edition).

I needed a tablet of a certain size to run a GPS app in my Polaris RZR UTV. This one fits well where I need to mount it and it does have a built in GPS. This model has been on the market for quite some time so by 2020, the specs are weak and of course it has a bunch of pre-installed apps that can't easily be removed. It does play Netflix videos fine and runs my GPS app fine but nothing is particularly snappy performance wise. It is also lame that Samsung hasn't put out an update for the OS for years. With multiple apps open, it runs out of horsepower pretty quickly. I wouldn't buy this for your everyday surf the web, email etc tablet if you have a little more budget available but it suits my purpose well and if you keep just a couple of apps and browser tabs open at a time, you'll probably find the performance adequate.

we bought the tablet for our baby who loves dave and ava. this tablet serves its purpose well. fits perfectly in the holder too, not too heavy nor too big to carry around in my bag, we dont have to recharge the tablet everyday. and for the price, its a great buy!

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) 7" primarily to use as the display for my DJI Mavic Pro drone. The tablet has worked flawlessly for this intended purpose. Maneuvering thru the device and menu's is fast with little or no latency. I installed Amazon Prime Video as well as Netflix and both performed exceptionally well. Cons: although I new the specs prior to buying this unit, the only things I can not give it higher marks for are the screen resolution (720P) and the screen brightness. Indoors, the screen is adequately bright. But since i purchased this for drone flying, it is very poor in bright lights (outside). If not for the poor brightness (lack off), I would have rated this a 5 star product.

I regret the purchase because I can’t use certain game apps do to the lag & slow touch response. I can watch videos on the device pretty well. I installed a larger SD card for better functionality but the 8gb version was a mistake & I wish I purchased at least the 32gb instead. Basic functions are fine but memory will be an issue. Good battery life though

Pros Very awesome has an S pen the ram is 3gigs which is decent its all you can expect and more from Android OS Marshmallow. I focus more on ram, the more ram the better it runs. 16 gigs of paltry storage memory its okay you can get an SD card cheap on ebay. 278.00 for this at Christmas saved 70 not bad for what they consider midrange end machine. The Book cover for this model( oem verison) is scarce so make sure you get the correct one SPEN book cover.

Fits in my purse while traveling. Easy to use/see.

I like the tablet. Everything works fine. Problem is you can't move programs to 200 gb sd card. So you have to be pretty selective with the choices for programs do to small storage, One other problem it takes for ever to start up.

The item is really nice . With wifi set up and good battery life

great camera for a beginner like me. my 5 year old great granddaughter installe d so many apps and utube. she showed me how to use it.

I purchased this tablet for my mom. My mother and I love this tablet. Mom uses it daily. She plays games and uses the internet. She keeps up with her great grand children via Facebook. So far she doesn't need any additional memory.

I was looking for an android tablet to run a specific app to read and tune my Audi. This does exactly what I needed at a steal. The tablet runs very smooth, and fairly quick. For the price you can’t beat it.

This tablet is nice for organizing and basic research(google, Facebook, etc...) Not good for gaming. It loads and runs very slow for online games like pokemon go. It does take nice pics!!!!

I have a I pad and Samsung tablet 10 in I need something small and it work fine in my purse and at work on my lunch time watch movies the sound is okay
