Great 1440p Gaming Monitor for the Price

I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey G5 27” since January 24th, and after several months of daily use, I can confidently say it’s been a solid monitor for both gaming and general use. The QHD 1440p resolution looks sharp and makes a noticeable difference compared to 1080p, especially on a 27” screen. The 165Hz refresh rate combined with the 1ms response time keeps everything feeling smooth and responsive, which is great for fast-paced games. I mainly use it for gaming, but it also works well for browsing, watching videos, and multitasking. The curved screen adds immersion without feeling overwhelming, and the VA panel provides good contrast, making darker scenes look better than standard IPS panels I’ve used before. FreeSync helps reduce screen tearing, and I haven’t had any major issues with performance or reliability since owning it. The stand is simple and gets the job done, though adjustability is limited, so a monitor arm might be worth it for some users. Other than that, the monitor has held up well over time and still performs as expected. Overall, if you’re looking for a great 1440p gaming monitor at a reasonable price, the Samsung Odyssey G5 is a strong choice and offers excellent value for the money.

Inverse ghosting

[Employee of bestbuy] Seeing some inverse ghosting (white outline left behind by objects as they move across screen). Had issues getting the resolution to work with my pc. Might return it.

Using this for my Xbox running at 1440p at 120hz. So far so good no complaints. I'm sure it's a great monitor for the pc too.

Good monitor for pc 1440p looks the same as 1080p on console if your on console get something cheaper won’t be able to run the 165hz and 120hz turns off on its own goes to 60hz at random times

Monitor stop working after only few uses.

The monitor went out only after a few uses, it was a nightmare going through Samsung to get it replaced, long story short they gave me my money back after months of going back and forth. I would buy a different brand and spend a couple bucks more. Whats interesting is the Samsung monitors are always on sale, low quality!
