Great product More than enough storage for me Fast/reliable

Well, I use this for my Galaxy Fold and iPad Pro. I initially used a flash drive before this, but I transfer large files between the two. Thus, I wanted something fast… picked it up when it was on sale. I like the speed… I like the portability of it. But I don’t think I’m getting the advertised speed of 1k read and write, however it’s insanely fast compared to my flash drive. Would I pay $99 for it, nope! But these normally go on sale… I got mine when it was $20 off. Definitely recommend it at that price point.

As my personal and school project files get larger and larger, I needed something that would transfer and save files faster than a thumb drive. I really didn't expect it to be so small and thin. But because of that it's easy to put it in a small pocket in my backpack. It's great that it comes with usb-c and usb-a cables just in case if you use one and not the other, but I have my own that's short since I don't like to use a "lengthy" cable.

The SSD is small and fast. Like really fast. This is the first time using an external SSD, and I got to say that it helped a lot in moving big files from my PC to my laptop, specially after losing a lot of data of my PC. For the price, Best Buy always charges more, but it may be worth to buy if they had a good deal in this product. This external SSD will be good enough until I get a 1 TB or a 2 TB SSD.

As a photographer I love the convince of the size of this ssd when I travel. I I can move files between laptop, phone, and tablet really fast and convenient with its type c to type c cable.

Works perfect with Mac OS Monetary, on my MacBook Air 2017 lab top . This SSD works faster than my hard drive on Mac OS. This review is for the Mac OS version only. I, wrote another review for Windows 10, and I can tell you it gets a little tricky on Windows, but it dose work. However, for the USB 3.0 plug in on Windows 10, you will not see any speed increase from your normal hard drive, and this drive works with both USB 3.0 and USB-C computers. Both cables are included in the box. I, believe you will only notice the speed increase on a Windows computer with a USB-C port connection, but I cannot guarantee this because I am using a USB 3.0 notebook.

This Samsung SSD T7 500GB SSD, works perfectly with my MacBook Air 2017. It works perfectly with Mac OS Monetary, and the last two versions of Mac OS Big Sur. I, had major problems with my Samsung T5 SSD with photo backups, on the earlier versions of Big Sur, but now it works fine with the latest versions. The T7 however, is a different drive, and so far it is working perfectly. The speeds are noticeably faster than my old hard drive, and I am using this drive for my Time Machine backups. This drive works so, good I decided to purchase a second drive for the Windows 10 side of my Mac OS. However, you must save the files on the drive if you want to password protect it. The reason for this is that you must format this SSD on Windows in order for it to work. I, am using this Samsung T7 SSD drive on Windows 10 for Windows System Backups. This drive may not work for both System, and File backups if you do not format it correctly. There are two format file types; NFTS (Default), and exFAT on Windows 10. Depending on how you format the drive it will not work on another operating system. Look on the internet for instructions on how to format this drive for Windows, but from what I can tell you the exFAT file format works best with SSD’s and USB flash drives. One more thing to note is that I did not see any type of speed increase with this SSD drive on Windows 10, over my regular Dell hard drive, but SSD’s do last longer than hard drives depending on how many backup write saves you will be using it for.

I like the portability of this external storage device and the size. Bigger than an USB but smaller and more lightweight than the old external storage devices. I really like its reading and writing speed.

Compact and simple. I’m using it as an external drive for the cameras on my Tesla. Video review is fast and this little guy is small enough to tuck away. Would recommend to anyone needing a fast external drive.

Samsung has always been the premier maker of SSD Now that the prices have leveled off this drive may be a little bit more expensive than larger staples such as WD, SEA, ETC. Perfect for Time Machine and Portability.

The Samsung - T7 500GB Usb 3.2 2nd Gen SSD is compatible with Samsung (ofcourse), Apple, Asus, ZTE, Oneplus......basically every device I have thrown at it. It’s very easy to use and handles file encryption very well. This device is portable, good for traveling and a a option for image, video and data storage. If you’re looking for that extra or external storage option for your sensitive documents, captured sweet moments and more that would not weigh so much on your pocket, this device is the way to go.

There are A lot of different options to choose from when it comes to portable storage. Samsung has always been strong in this area and that is one of the reasons why I trusted this portable drive. Right out of the box it has a clean and quality look. It’s simple and elegant. The packaging is straightforward and it comes with two different cables. I really enjoy the blue aluminum look and the feel of it. Now getting into the performance side of things it’s fast! I’ve owned a few different external drives as well as thumb drives and have experienced delays when transferring large files. I had my doubts so I put this little guy to test. I was able to transfer roughly 50 GB of data to the hard drive in about 15 minutes. Now I wasn’t using a USB three connection on my computer as it is a little bit older I was also transferring from another extra hard drive. That speed impressed me given the circumstances. Transferring files right from my computer to the hard drive was seem less. They transferred in almost no time. I do a lot of presentations for my workplace and this has come in handy to have on the go and throw in my bag. The compact size makes a total difference. It’s a little bit bigger than a business card in about as thick as a candy bar. I was able to store movies photos presentations and documentations all with ease. I trust Samsung to keep a lot of my personal documents backed up on the drive. The software was a breeze to install on the computer and it even comes with an app for any mobile devices. When it comes down to speed reliability design and quality Samsung did not cut corners with these drives.

I really like the look, speed, and ease of use, but when I run windows backup at night, I see that the drive is no longer recognized, and the led is off. I wanted this drive for automatic backups, but if it keeps disconnecting itself it's not useful.

This ssd transferred 90GB game in under 7 minutes when my external hard drive took 30 minutes! So its worth it! I use it for my Xbox series S.

I had no space in my desktop's SSD, so I got this because I pre-ordered the biggest flop of the year, Cyberpunk 2077, and it worked great, the SSD not the game, sadly. I installed some other games and is working well.

The Samsung T7 500GB SSD is screaming fast with transfer rates at 1GB per second over the right USB C connection. This drive performs flawlessly right out of the box, comes with encryption software if you need an extra layer of protection, and is so portable you could easily put it in your pocket. The drive does get a little warm when completing large transfers but not too hot. There are after market cases available if you plan to travel with this SSD. Samsung drives are known to be very reliable and have little performance issues.
