Sanctus - Sanctus - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Music for quiet contemplation Haunting and evocative words and music that bring US echoes from the world of the monks of Lindisfarne, the Saxon monastery on Holy Island off Northumbria, with early English church music and Northumbrian pipes.

In the '70s, Kate Fagan reveled in the energy of punk and new wave on dance floors in London and New York before drifting to Chicago, where she picked up a bass guitar and invented her own plucky minimalist sound. Her 1980 song I Don't Wanna Be Too CoolInch became a best-seller at the legendary Wax Trax! Records. This new expanded version of Captured Tracks' 2016 reissue features four unheard, ahead-of-their-time tunes slathered in precious melodies and rhythms that lean into early house music territory.Inch - Jen B. Larson, author of Hit Girls Women of Punk in the USA, 1975-1983
