A: I'm using this External SanDisk SSD to take the place of the internal hard drive on a 2017 iMac which had become very slow. Installed macOS Ventura on the SSD and set it as the boot drive. Works great. The speed difference is amazing.

Great for boot drive!
I purchased the PRO-G40 for the great price and Thunderbolt 3 speeds. I immediately formatted it and installed MacOS to use as a boot drive for my 2019 iMac which was get bogged down and slow. NOW my Mac is fast and responsive! I couldn't recommend this product enough.
