Why is it better to put the speakers on a stand as opposed to a table top?

How does it lock the speaker in place so it doesn't just fall off?
Answered by SanusStaffHi Oggy, It depends on what speaker you have. The Sonos One and play One has a bracket that it sits on that connects to the insert on the bottom of the speaker. The Sonos Play 3 has a bracket that it screws into. Can these be used as PC speakers?

Does this work with the Sonos One SL and the Sonos One (Gen 2)? I see it needs a screw behind the physical speaker and there is no "hole" at the back of either speaker. If it not compatible, can you recommend a Sanus speaker stand that does? Thank you
Answered by SanusStaffHi there, These stand should be compatible with both of those speakers. You can mount them a couple of different ways depending on the speakers. For the Sonos one the bottom of the speaker should have an insert that will just clip into the bracket that is provided.
