    Sleek and Powerful!

    I recently purchased this 2-in-1 charger from Satechi, and wow, I'm thrilled with the purchase. First thing you notice is that the materials and finish are premium and look great! It goes perfectly with the space gray color that you're used to seeing across devices. What is actually my favorite feature though is the portability. I had previously used a 2-in-1 on my nightstand, but this folds essentially flat and I can fit it in my bag with me and take it on the go while traveling. Love reducing the amount of cables I haul around. Highly, highly recommend!

    Good, but you have to buy a power adapter separate

    This charging port has a good build quality and looks nice, earning it 4 or 5 stars. However, we took off stars because it does not ship with a power block adapter, which we had to buy separately for another $15. An iPhone will NOT charge without a larger power block. We have plenty of charging block adapters around the house (mostly Apple, but others too) and they are typically 5W. This product requires a 30W power adapter in order to work properly, but they do not ship one with this product. My wife spent quite a bit of time with online support and live customer support to confirm the need for a much larger 30W adapter. That unusual adapter should simply come with the product. To be fair, the photo in the listing does say 30W adapter required - but then they don't include this much larger power block.

However, there are case companies that make magnetic charging cases for newer released smartphones. You can use these specialized cases to charge your device to the magnetic charging stand.
