Antigen Fast anarcho/crust punk from Prague (Czech Republic). This is their follow up to the critically acclaimed debut album Dust and ashes (2020). Think La Fraction and Burning kitchen! Socialstyrelsen The most promising band from Sweden right now. The harsh vocals, the piercing guitars and the thundering d-beat drumming combined makes this stand out from the rest. Think Protestera and Massmord and you have sort of an idea on what to expect.
Lady Legs have been writing wonderfully off-kilter poppy garage rock since their formation in 2012. In the five years since then, they've gone from playing college house parties to filling rooms at some of Birmingham's most esteemed venues and creating significant buzz at South By Southwest while garnishing airplay on BBC Radio and Music 6. Their raw songs embrace a similar spirit to the likes of Twin Peaks and Mac DeMarco, while taking inspiration from the band's shared love of The Strokes, Rolling Stones and The Pixies. InchFull of slacker charm and jangling garage rock sensibilities, it's an ode to doing what you love set against the kind of nonchalantly excellent sounds that tumble out with the utmost ease.Inch - DIY
Kandace Springs' latest project, recorded in collaboration with the Academia de Música de Espinho's Orquestra Clássica de Espinho, is a heartfelt and sonically gorgeous tribute to one of her favorite artists, Billie Holiday, and her last great album, Lady in Satin. That album, comprising 12 songs from the great American songbook, was recorded in 1958 with a full orchestra arranged and conducted by Ray Ellis.Kandace and the Academia spared no effort and expense in re-crea1ng and reimagining the sound and feel of that original recording, and the resulting creation has a romantic lushness that is rarely heard in music today.Classic songs, a critically, acclaimed orchestra, beautiful arrangements, and the soaring, soulful voice of Kandace Springs, all combine to make this record a milestone in her career.
